The Ultimate MPG thread.
We're relatively lucky here in NW Oregon that it doesn't get that cold. I got 18.6 on the last tank, and 19.0 on the one before that. But that's almost all highway with the cruise set at 60-65. If I make any short trips around town, it drops down to 17 in a hurry!
My 2018 XLT 2.7 has averaged 20.8 MPG over the 2700 miles I've put on it since Oct. '17. This is highway, town, and mountain driving combined. I've hit 24.3 MPG on the highway a time or two with the cruise on 65 MPH. This blows my mind given that I drove a Nissan Frontier V6 supercharged for 11 years and got 15 MGP around town and maybe 17 on the highway, unloaded and going downhill.
Oh, and I'm running Blizzaks on the F150 to boot.

To Harley f150 the technology is here today to do that . I have been testing it for 1.5 yrs. nanotechnology. example I had a 2015 f250 super duty 6.7 screw 4x4 fx4 3.55ls. with every available option except sunroof . It had air bags a auto adjusting 18k lbs rated. fifthwheel assy added. lifetime mileage of 15.8 at 12,500mls(.I drove it like I stole it.)440hp. and 865tk. the sweet spot was 82 mph with those XL large 20"toyo tires. I felt like the engine was broken enough.so I added xado engine revitalant at oil change.the average jumped to 16.5 overall with the same driving habits. I felt much more power all across the rpm range and could take the same hills that I used to shift down to fifth gear would stay in 6th. and not downshift automatically like it used to.So proof of more hp.and torque. this product plates the inside of the engine with a extremely hard materal that is activated by heat and pressure so never overbuilds. lasts 62,000 miles.liquid blueprint if I ever saw it. price is 35.00 to 120.00 depending on oil capacity. the ruskies made and patented it but is so good, I don't hold it against them .I have used it in more than 10 vehicles with amazing results. hope this helps. look up reviews on the internet.

Ok, since the extreme cold (I know, one man's extreme is another man's pleasant) has left, my mileage is up about 1 mpg on the last 2 fillups. 17.8 and 17.9 for the last two. Driving was mixed city/highway, commuting to work, and around-town driving with a couple of drives out to the shooting range 30 miles away from town. I'm pretty happy with that. Can't wait for another one of those long drives in the country where the mileage will go north of 20 mpg again.
Just did my first fill-up @ 602 miles (36 gal tank) (2018 SCREW Platinum W/ Ecoboost - all packages but max tow; has regular tow). Truck fuel gage said 18.0 avg. Calculated average was 19.2. This is mostly highway driving with traffic about 1/2 the time and 75-80 mph the other half. Ironically, based on the truck mpg calculations, she gets almost as good of MPG in traffic as she does at 75 mph. It’s when I floor it that the MPG drops hard.
I am super happy with these miles considering over 12 hours of idol time from when she was at the dealership and she’s not broken in yet.
I have behaved and stayed out of the gas, used Eco about 50% of the time and driven under the new adaptive cruise with stop / start roughly 75% of the time. At this rate, should be able to easily get over 20 MPG this next tank.
