I was looking at this holster myself... How about behind the center console.... If right handed, a reach around to the rear somehow toward the passenger side? I'm not near my truck this second so just a thought in my head. OF COURSE, when you have no passengers in the back seat.

I carry left side IWB. My concern is the butt eventually wearing a hole in my seat back and long trip comfort. Still looking for that just right holster that gives easy access for when I take it out of my holster while getting in and out, plus easy access while driving. Would lock in the box if left in the truck so that type of security isn't an issue.

Please post some pics of your final solution.

In my previous vehicle I used the Blackhawk Quick Disconnect. It’s a male/female adapter that turns into place and had it mounted under my dash. If you’re familiar with Blackhawk holsters they have to be depressed to pull the gun. This gives you the freedom to mount it wherever you like.

Be careful with those... most police departments no longer allow them, due to failure of the latch mechanism - especially from contamination. It's going to suck if you need your weapon and have it but can't get it to unholster.

I use a Highway Holster... it attaches to the seat and holds my IWB. I also have a truck vault with a Kydex holster mounted inside for when I can’t carry and have to leave it in the truck.

Default Gun holster

What's your opinion of the most elegant solution for storing a handgun for easy access in your F150? Some sort of holster, magnet, or accessory/attachment made specifically for the F150?

On my hip....

But interested to see what others have done. Other than just putting it in the center console....

I know a guy who knew a guy who had a guy who ran an old style shoe shop who would modify a Rawlings fastback baseball glove to work with a fast draw holster.

I use ClipDraws, so I just cut a little slot on a hidden part of the seat base trim.

But a good magnet should do at least as well.
