Default Handgun in your truck.

How do you legally carry your handgun in your truck?

Some states allow "a person who may lawfully possess a handgun may carry a handgun under the following circumstances without obtaining a permit and the handgun shall not be considered concealedI) the handgun is in the
possession of a person who is in a private automobile or in some other private
means of conveyance and who carries the handgun for a legal use, including self-defense."

Other states require the gun and ammo to be locked in a box.

Show us what/how you carry.

Mine is either on my hip, tucked between the seats in a sticky holster or in the center console.

I really appreciate our police!! I was going to rant about all these ridiculous laws, but then thought of a police pulling someone over and having to wonder if the old boy is high on something and has a gun nearby. So, I'm mixed on what I think now, but, I usually carry mine just laying on back floor inside a case, no magazine in it.

In Louisiana you can keep it loaded and concealed in your vehicle withOUT a CCW. And that's how I keep mine. 14 in the the mag and one in the chamber! You can only carry it concealed on persons if you have a CCW. We can open carry thou.

I wouldn't leave it in your truck. Most bangers get weapons by breaking into vehicles and taking them.
