Best place to conceal a handgun?
I just bought a 2011 FX4. I had a 2008 Tundra and one of my favorite things about the Tundra was the small, skinny bin right next to my console shifter that had a cover. I could put my XD-9 subcompact in that area with the cover on, and no one knew it was there. Is there any spot in the ford that would be accessible, but hidden, besides the center console (the center console is the 1st place a thief will look)? It is legal in TX to have a concealed handgun in your vehicle.
Thanks
Thanks

I would think you would consider the law first ....
personally I dont know why people conceal a weapon anywhere but on them. Now storage in the vehicle for when you enter an establishment that prohibits them that is another question to which I recommend gunvault products.

Will you get any seat covers? If you do, get ones with pockets on the side that rides against the center console. My boss has his gun in that spot. Cant see it, cant feel it, but it can be out and fired in about 2-3 seconds. No one would even know its there. I completely forget about it when i drive. But its there.

Yes it is legal to conceal a handgun in you vehicle in Texas even without a CHL. Obviously you cannot take it out and conceal it on your person without a CHL if you go out in public. I like to take mt gun off when I'm in my truck cause it is more comfortable. I have a lock box tethered under my back seat that I can leave my gun in while at work. It is keyless and I just push a series of buttons to get into it in a matter of seconds. For more information on carrying in your truck in Texas, look up Texas CHL(concealed handgun license) laws and the Castle Docterine. Hope this helps.
