Hey rugedraw, You may recall helping me with my 2021 Platinum. I wasn't getting updates and finally convinced the dealer to take it seriously. Left my car with Grapevine Ford for nearly two weeks. They showed me a printout that supposedly showed 23 updates had been performed. I was charged $500 because FMC wouldn't take responsibility for the entire bill. I felt okay about that given that the invoice showed over $4k in charges. Here we are nearly a year later and as far as I know I haven't received another update since.
Armed with the current recall regarding the backup camera and display going black, I have scheduled service to address the recall and try to get them to try again with finding out why I never get OTA updates. To prepare for this, I was hoping you could check and see what upgrades I'm missing and if I have had any successful OTA updates since 5/25. Thanks in advance.

Due to recent cybersecurity changes Ford made, I am no longer able to check for pending updates. I'll look tomorrow to see if I see anything helpful, but pending updates I can no longer check.

@SkyeCam Your OTA history shows 14 failed OTA attempts for your IPC. This for sure is not normal. Your truck is getting updates, but the IPC is one of 4 modules in the vehicle that have top be updated in a certain order before other updates can be sent and installed. The dealer needs to look into why the IPC OTA has failed so many times and update the IPC to open the bottleneck being created by that IPC update not going through.

I was able to disconnect my battery and then set everything back up. For a week it kept telling me that my software updates were paused because of the battery being disconnected. As of this morning, it looks like Ford Power-Up 6.5.0 installed and completed. This is the first software update in over a year. I'm hoping the other pending software updates will start to come through now. Thank you for your suggestion as it al least allowed one update to come through.

@sparks8

I cannot post this in visitor messages, so posting it here. This is the code your truck is reporting that is preventing Bluecruise from working. The TSB referenced by the code calls for the GWM to be updated so the newer Bluecruise maps are installed. The TSB is attached for your reference. In the case of 2021-2022 trucks like yours, it could require multiple updates to the GWM, APIM and TCU to get corrected.

If the dealer is charging you $1300, then for sure it is cheaper to use FDRS yourself. If you don't want to spend $600 on the Mongoose cable for FDRS, you can borrow one of mine for free. I do require a refundable deposit, details are in the thread below. Just lmk.

@rugedraw Would you please check on mine? No updates since December; I'm new to this so I would primarily like to know if there is a problem receiving the OTA updates.

Thank you in advance.

Your truck being a 2025 was built with most of the software that have been discussed in this long thread. OTA history shows you got 3 updates in Decmeber and nothing since. As of right now, there are no updates pending to be sent to you, but your connectivity is working fine and the truck is not reporting any codes. I don't see anything to be concerned about in your case.

rugedraw

I replacement my OEM battery last week, and was wondering is I had missed any OTA updates as it was slowly failing. Not bad battery life for a truck built in January 2021.1FTEW1EP9MKD18502
