Related but just slightly off topic - has anyone noticed that when you are logged into the Ford Owner site and check your VIN for your current Sync version number you can type in any VIN and it will give you the build. As a comparison to my own I just took a VIN from new truck on dealer site and it provided me the version number for Sync 4 on that truck - which was yet again a newer version we have not yet been offered.

 

Any reason my auto update selection won’t toggle on? It does nothing when I try to set it to auto on. It was selectable before, but not now.

 

I have the same issue and corresponded with Ford and have an open ticket. Went to dealer today and they tried to install my 1.7.1 update which failed 3 times in the last two weeks and it failed in the APIM. They are messaging Ford and I am taking truck back next week and they expect I may need to replace the APIM. They think something in the update failing in the APIM caused this screen to happen. All else works but this screen and just Wednesday it auto downloaded and failed again.

 

I’m having the same problem with inability to toggle on auto update, and 1.7.1 has failed twice to OTA on my truck. There are, what, four people having the same problem on this thread? This sounds more like a software problem than a hardware issue.

 

They also discussed recent purchased F150s with Blue Cruise from factory that is now showing disabled. A customer with a Raptor built 4 weeks ago was showing disabled this week.

 

I am having the same issue, I can not set it to auto update. I set it up in August when I purchased the vehicle and it was fine then and I have checked it every once in a while to make sure it was set. I went to the dealer to get the oil changed and the next day I checked to make sure everything was set up and it was greyed out. I also checked my version number on sync and it is no longer showing me a version number. Last time I checked it it was the 243 drop. Does anyone else with this problem show a version number on their sync about screen?
