Is the complexity of powerboost worth it ?
If a pickup truck is your only, daily driver, and you do more than 50% city driving, the PB will clearly outperform the other gasoline engines.
In 14,000+ miles of driving over the past 4 months, I'm averaging 23-25 in the city and 18-20 on the highway. Living outside Pittsburgh where it can get pretty hilly, I consider these stellar numbers for a gasoline vehicle weighing nearly 3 tons.

Of all vehicles, apparently... and it's an improvement because in 2022, it was the least reliable.

I only have a couple hundred miles on mine so far, but the low end torque is incredible!
Mileage is definitely better than my old 3.5 too. I am seeing high 20s for my routine 25 mile trips so far.
Today I am going to fill the tank and reset Trip 1 to get a good idea of a true average.
I almost always exceed EPA numbers on a vehicle. Probably a combination of how I drive and that a lot of my trips are rural 50 MPH roads with few stops. Theoretically the hybrid shouldn't benefit much there, but it seems to be doing very well.

Strangely, Ford prices it the same.. hybrid or gas.. so it is very likely Ford doesn't think the hybrid part of the engine is the problem.
