Dealer stock.

Ideally, it would have had the B&O Unleashed and Bed Utility Package instead of the power running boards, but it was close enough. I can add the bed lights later for cheaper, and in the limited time I spent playing with the standard B&O system, it seemed roughly on par with the B&O in my 2020 so it should be good enough. I maybe would have optioned the 7kw ProPower if I built it too just because it's cheap, but truthfully I can't imagine what I'd use it for.

What really got me is the MSRP wasn't horrendous on it. Lots of others on lots had bloat that pushed the sticker price up to the 75k+ mark:

I see Ford is still doing the security pack and CHMSL camera removals... you'd think they have the issues ironed out by then.

I just really want reliability and getting ready to flip again in next year or so. thoughts ?
In 2021 tracked down and bought a 2021 XLT 302a PB with the option package needed and having the 7.2KW power source. Drove this for a little over a year and not lamb basting the PB it just was not my cup of tea. December of 2021 an order was placed for a 22 XLT 302a 2.7 payload package truck the only option added over the 21 was the work station.

Here the 2.7EB with the payload package is a keeper, only adder down the line is to add 4A which at this time is a lot cheaper than going for a new 500a Lariat.

Problem that lies with the 2.7EB is that Ford has now hamstrung the 2.7EB engine in 2024. Cannot be had with towing, cannot be had in a Lariat. Cannot be had in a Screw 6.5' box, in a XL click 6.5' box incomes the 5.0 engine. Note a 2.7EB Scab and 6.5' box still can be had in the XL, STX or XLT but again not with towing the 5.0 is again the towing engine.

This means for any towing applications that leaves 3 engine choices 3.5EB, 3.5PB and the 5.0. Have no personal driving experience with the 5.0. After having V8's for most of the time sorry but just like how the turbo engines deliver power. But have to admit as a owner of a 87 GLH-S with a 2.2 turbo engine this may have some slight influence on engine choice.

3.5PB when towing heavier loads will basically deliver close to the same fuel mileage as a 3.5EB. Former 19 was a 3.5EB max tow vehicle that was traded in for the 21PB with towing so been der done dat and seen the true numbers. Light towing in normal the PB wins over the 3.5EB. Late summer to early fall the PB wins the fuel mpg over a 3.5EB. Cold central Wisconsin winter weather fuel mileage between the 3.5EB and the 3.5PB is a flip of the coin. Where the 3.5EB shines over the PB is PAYLOAD. PB's in higher trims have very low payloads. The reason for going from a 19 701a Platinum max tow to a 21PB 302a XLT with towing was to maintain at least the payload the 19 had(1620# on the 19,1640# on the 21PB). So here the only up side to a PB over a 3.5EB is the 7.2 power source and if going PB please do not hamstring it by buying one with no or the 2.4 power source go 7.2 power source.

The 2nd choice over the present 2.7EB payload package was a 302a XLT 5.0 equipped with towing and 3.73 rear axle and optioned the same as the 2.7EB.

Good Luck.

Just want to point this out, it does come able to tow. As has been hammered out here so many times, the class IV hitch is a package itself.
In 2024, all F150's come standard with the hitch.
Since the towing guide for 2024 has not been released yet, can't really say what a 2.7 F150 will be rated to tow. But its not going to only be 5k. Probably somewhere near what it can do now.

Yeah, this truck was an October build so it got the heated steering wheel, but not those. I don't care much about the security pack, but might buy the CHMSL camera - it seems the harness should be there and it's just a quick ForScan change.

The value of the CHMSL is far less than the value of the tailgate camera used as you approach tow hitches.

Definitely, but I have had some situations where I had something in the bed that I couldn't see and wanted to make sure it was still secured. Probably not worth the ~$350 that the replacement stop light with the camera costs, though.

The real question is...

Is the extra cost, weight and technical equipment (battery etc.) worth the extra cost in comparison to the very trivial increase in fuel mileage.

If a person wants it for portable onboard power supply maybe.
But a 7kwh generator can be had for under $1k
And my 5.0 gets almost as good fuel mileage as the powerboost.
