Oh, my bad....this forum doesn't notify you when you get tagged and I missed this.

Your truck is on Sync 20262 which one of the two software releases from 2020 that break the OTA process. Your dealer needs to manually update your APIM or diagnose it as faulty as replace it with a new one.

Attached are three docs. The second doc can be found in a link that is in the first doc. GSB 23-7146 is a bulletin released to all Ford dealers in October advising them what the latest Sync version every Ford connected vehicle should be on. TSB 22-2404 is a technical service bulletin outlining the process needed to recover an APIM, GWM or TCU module that is in limbo not receiving updates via the OTA process or taking the update manually using the FDRS dealer software. I would schedule an appt with your service department and tell them your truck has not had an update in years. Show them these docs and tell them you are concerned that your truck is affected by this issue. If they call you back and tell you that your truck is up to date, ask to speak to the service manager and plead your case to him or her. Below is a screenshot or your OTA dashboard with your VIN showing no OTA history. This is one of the things needed in order for your truck to qualify for the TSB. Good luck.

If they tell you your truck is up to date, below is a list of modules pending updates on the server with FDRS. Your VIN is included in the screenshot for reference.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but how often should you have your truck set to check for the OTA updates? Is there a certain day of the week Ford sends out the updates?

I have mine set to check daily at 2am. There is no rhyme or reason as to how updates are sent out.

I have a question for you if you know.
Do the over the air updates rely at all on the fob or ford pass app. ,or solely dependant on the truck itself ? TIA, you are helping many with their issues, nice.

The OTA process is dependent solely on Ford's servers.. When an update is released to the server for vehicles, it sits there until the server creates an OTA trigger for the vehicle it wants to send it to. There is no way of knowing when that will happen. It can be days, weeks or months.

OK, thanks, so the server only relies on the truck to get thru, server access to the key fob and ford pass app are not required for the update to get thru. I am not having any issues just got thinking about that as I keep the fob electronically isolated.

I did a write-up on what happens during an OTA here:

Long read, but this should give you insight on how it works.
