I just downloaded 2.2 and updated my truck. Original version 1.0. The instructions state that the truck may need to run for 30 minutes to complete the installation. I drove downtown and it completed the process in about 20 minutes.

Now, I am having issues with my Samsung Note 5 (Android). Sometimes, I will receive a call and the truck will not answer it so the phone goes to voicemail. In a few other cases, the phone rings and then the Sync system picks up the call on the second ring. I deleted the phone and re-paired after noticing the problem without any luck.

New member and first post...

I called Ford Friday afternoon after failed attempts to my local service dept. the lady at Ford customer service said the reason why when I went to my owner page and the auto updates through sync that I wasn't showing an update is because it's a "dealer only" update for my 2017 XLT. I think my build was 12/16 IIRC...

Anyway, went to Ford this morning and they were all kinds of confused. After some research they pulled it in for the software update. I was already running version 2.0 and I'm now showing version 2.2...the biggest thing for me on wanting it so bad was the traffic feature. I have yet to try it but it should be up and running.

Traffic works great for me after installing 2.2.

Is the linked file the same as the dealer install on '17? I'd rather do the install myself. I don't want the dealer to ever touch my truck unless its a critical warranty issue.

I certainly believe it is. Everything works great on mine.

What's the "traffic feature"? My 2017 is still running version 2.0 and does not have 2.2 available yet. I'm guessing we 2.0 users are just a low priority?

If you go to the Sirius XM travel apps one is labeled something along the lines as traffic something...anyway it's supposed to bring up delays on your route such as accidents and roadwork/work zones and all...

I heard older versions of the sync3 v1.1 I believe were getting the updates over the air before the 2.0 people but I can't verify that.

Many if not all the 2017s with Ver. 2.0 the traffic feature didn't work. Version 2.2 isn't available yet over the air or on the ford owner site for my truck and the ford customer service lady couldn't tell me why. All she said is that there was a sync dealer only update available so I went to the dealer and got 2.2 installed by them.

Downloaded the non-NAV version using the above links.
Had to use and older 32GB USB drive, but from it, the update went perfectly.
After the first part of the software update, I saw a notice flash on the display for a few seconds that said something about cycling the key off/on to start the second part of the update. I wasn't a point where I could pull over to cycle the key; but after a few miles, the second step started and lasted about 10 minutes. Then the "update complete" notice popped up and asked for a shutdown/restart. Viola! SYNC now shows as v2.2.

Worked well, unlike the earlier hack updates that I tried a month ago.

Originally on version 2.0 on a 2017 Raptor. Ford website did not show the update as available. Downloaded and installed the nav version manually. No problems with the install. Took about 15 minutes. Traffic feature was not originally working, but now works after the update.

I downloaded the NAV version and when unpacked it measured 1.7GB. Not sure why yours would be different.
