No it's not. For the non nav version it's just over 2gb. Just used an 8 gb thumb drive and worked fine.

Went on the Owner site, downloaded v2.2 on a USB 3.0, 32G thumb drive, tried to install during my 40 minute commute home and NOTHING!!! Message kept saying downloading software update. 2016 F150, April 2016 build with Sync3 v1.0. Any ideas?

I'm certainly no expert on this but it's possible that you'll need to get to 2.0 first before you try going to 2.2.

Just realized my thumb drive was formatted to FAT32 and should have been ex32. If that doesn't work I'll try your advice and step up to v2.0

I've checked via wi-fi and my ford owners site and both still say I'm current at 2.0 in a 2016.

I've tried searching for updates from my Sync 3 system and get nothing. I think that Ford has not officially released v2.2 for trucks that have v2.0. It looks like trucks with v1.0 are auto updating. Just my opinion.

I'm completely confused. Downloaded no navigation and extracted files to my USB drive. Go out to truck and go through update process and everything seems to be working. After it says update has been completed successfully and remove usb, update will take effect on next startup. Wait about a minute and restart truck, go to check current software and it still says 2.0 ????
