Wait about a minute and restart truck, go to check current software and it still says 2.0 ????
Try turning the truck off for at least 30 min. and then restart and see what it says.

I think I've seen where Ford says if you have v2.0, then there is no need to update to v2.2. Not sure why but I think I saw it in the Sync3 sticky thread.

I can't speak for the Sync 3 v2.0, but Ford did release the official update for the v1.0 trucks and for me at least it did not auto update I had to go in and download the latest version from Sync to a thumbdrive and then physically download to my truck.. It took about 25 minutes from start to finish and it went very smooth. I have a 16 Lariart with the Nav, so again can only speak for what I did.

Same thing happened to me. After I updated to the latest version 2.2 mine still showed 1.0, but waited a couple of hours and then restarted the truck and then it showed v2.2.

Hello, I have a 2015 Platinum, Im curious, is this year even supported for Sync 3? If not, are there any ways to to get Sync 3 in my car? I ultimately want to install Android Auto.

Thanks

You need a 16+ APIM, they're a few hundred USD and a little work to swap.

Default 2.2 to new 2.2??

I just got my '17 a couple weeks ago. I have the first build of the 2.2 that's mentioned in the SYNC3 sticky. Should I try to update to the more recent, broadly released build?

1st post 😁

I personally don't think there would be any benefit in that. It should be exactly the same.
