I’ve tried all methods using SyncUpdater 3. Reformat/ downgrade/ auto. Even tried without updating maps.
Package error and/ or storage space issue.
1- does this mean I have to try ForScan to reduce drive space?
2- any other suggestions to get this to work? I’m pretty tech savvy and am just curious if I’m missing something.

I needed to do the first step of the jailbreak process, and then use the rwdwata cleaner tool to get the necessary space for me to then use the CyanLabs tool to update to the best version.
So, as I described in my previous post, I verified my sync was compatible, did the first step in the jailbreak process, used the rwdwata cleaner tool, and then the CyanLab synupdater 3. I'm all it took me about 90+ minutes and three USB flash drives to get thru the whole process. The timing of the first step for the jailbreak took me a few tries. Follow the process exactly and wait for all the steps to complete thoroughly. I say that because the timing takes patience and a few tries, don't give up.
This sounds like what happened with me for my MY19. I posted about it several pages back too.

guess I’ll have to get more USBs
I would add one thing to what Dshindle said. Before you go any further, if you have not already done so, make sure to get the Ford Interrogater software, load it on a blank flash drive, and then run it so you can verify you really do have the problem with no more space left in the APIM storage area. If you see the dreaded "0", then you know for sure. But if you still have plenty of space, then there may be another issue preventing you from upgrading successfully. Steps to get and use the Ford Interrogater can be found in the beginning parts of this long thread.
