Sync 3 Memory Issue
Rats, sync just started asking the setup questions again. I had not yet done the upgrade to 3.4.23088 because my 3.4.22251 after the clean out seemed to be working well enough that I figured with auto update off it would give me time to wait till the weekend. I guess I'll be doing the interrogate, analyze, and rwdata cleanup again before doing the cyanlabs 3.4.23088 update.
Reported my 2019 F150 to Ford as being affected. Got case number but no new information beyond what's been reported here. The most aggregating aspect of this entire fiasco is Ford's apparent clueless amazement to hear that anything at all is wrong.
I'm reluctant to proceed on my own but I guess Im faced with trying one of the DIY fixes outlined here. I know it's been reported that Ford is targeting this Fall for a fix but I'll bet anyone a dollar that won't happen, Good luck to us all.

Just wanted to post another big thanks to @barrytone . I ended up using the cyanlabs utility on my MY19 to clear the folder and install an earlier version of Sync a few weeks ago and no major issues since. The only weird thing I notice now is my map will flash to full screen very briefly while in carplay from time to time, but I can live with that glitch until Ford gets their stuff together.
So I have been putting up with this BS for a couple months now and finally decided to search the issue here and hit this thread right away. Decided to contact Ford via chat and they are saying the fix is September. Here is the chat log:
Lakeisha: Hello Darren! My name is LaKeisha. How may I help you today?
20:07, Jul 31
Darren: I have a 2020 F150 Platinum and am getting a popup or two depending on clicking "confirm" or "ask me later". From what I can tell this is dealing with the latest SYNC update and it filling up the rwdata folder on the APIM.
20:08, Jul 31
Lakeisha: I'll be happy to look into your SYNC inquiry today Darren!
20:08, Jul 31
Lakeisha: Thanks for providing the VIN also.

Lakeisha: Please allow me a few moments to look into this for you,
20:08, Jul 31
Darren: What I want to know if when will Ford be issuing a fix as I am having to soft reset the SYNC system at least a couple times a week.
20:11, Jul 31
Lakeisha: I appreciate your patience. I will be with you shortly.
20:14, Jul 31
Lakeisha: Thanks for waiting. I am still looking into this for you.
20:17, Jul 31
Lakeisha: Please bear with me as I am looking into this for you Darren.
20:18, Jul 31
Darren: Patiently waiting and working on other things.
20:19, Jul 31
Lakeisha: Thanks. To confirm: this started happening after the last SYNC update was performed>
20:20, Jul 31
Lakeisha: If so, which method did you use for the update?
20:20, Jul 31
Darren: Yes. I have the truck on auto update.
20:20, Jul 31
Lakeisha: Okay, thanks Darren!
20:21, Jul 31
Lakeisha: Just a couple moments please.
20:24, Jul 31
Lakeisha: Thanks for waiting Darren! When did your last SYNC update complete?
20:24, Jul 31
Darren: Not sure. How do I tell that?
20:26, Jul 31
Lakeisha: No problem. Checking something for you.
20:27, Jul 31
Darren: Like I said its on auto update as the wifi from the garage has a strong signal so I thought letting Ford update it automatically would be a good thing which it was not.
20:29, Jul 31
Lakeisha: Thanks Darren! Your system is updated. I am looking into why you are receiving those pop up messages.

Lakeisha: Thanks so much for your patience Darren! The most recent update for SYNC 3 has been causing issues with the system. We are expecting a new update in late September to correct these issues.
I underlined the last sentence and changed the font to red. Anyhow, figured I would post up that the "fix" is still about two months out. Going to try and fix the issue myself as this is really annoying.

Wow at least you got a "positive answer". I did the same a few weeks back, they said thank you for letting us know. There was more, but basically that was it.
Last week I got a phone call to my home number from Ford Corporate office. Martha was her name. She denied any knowledge of knowing the problem let alone when a fix would be...
She advised me to call my dealer and set an appointment so that my problem is in the system. I do have a case number.
I tried twice to call my dealer and left a message still waiting......

Replaced the APIM and charged $100.00 to my deductible on my warranty. Burns my a*! that I had to pay that, when it should have been a Ford fix on them as they caused the issue. I cant imagine had I not had the warranty what it would have cost.
