Sync 3 Memory Issue
This thread is confusing to say the least and many people on here are still struggling with the suggested remedies. Don’t pat yourself on the back because you think that you’ve conquered it and you’ve helped everybody out. You haven’t. No one like you has provided a reference to a concise procedure because the fact is there isn’t one. I’ve read them all too, buddy. There is such discontinuity, sentence fragments, incomplete thoughts, circular links to nothing, and hooey that nothing is helpful. I am impressed that you got it though.
How about asking some specific questions or highlight where you are stuck? What year truck do you have? What SYNC version?
Do you want someone to come to your house and do it for you? All of the information is here, for free, from other owners.
At this point I'm with CIGARGUY. You don't have any interest in learning and are not going to be happy until Ford mails you a flash drive to fix it.

Did you read my previous response when you made the same baseless claim the first time?

Why can’t we reload 3.4.22251 and avoid using car play? I loaded 3.4.22251 in December of 2022 and it was fine until I connected an iPhone to use carplay this month.
There is evidence that using carplay causes problems, but nobody knows exactly what’s going on. Why do some know-it-alls insist that it’s nothing more than a bug?
It is suggested that this is friendly community with an open forum, why are some of you so hostile about me suggesting real possibilities?
You and cigarguy were made for each other. Both of you are narrow minded and sensitive to analytical thinking. Buck up. I haven’t concluded anything by what I suggest and nor have I commanded that I know what the problem is, such as you. However, more importantly, this is a safety problem and until Ford reckons with it we motorists are vulnerable to crashes. The brilliant screen during nighttime driving and the unreliable connectivity of the cell phone are the most dangerous. Ford doesn’t, and you don’t, get a pass on this.
Good point. Ford has an unsecured, but secret, public server only for people, who we all can trust, with privileges to access, upload, download, and freely distribute their copyrighted software without a consequence. Hmmm?
But that would be the definition of insanity: doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Once the logs fill up available storage you'll be in the same spot again, back here, whining.
If you are going to do a reformat, go to one version older or the new "fixed" version which has already been covered. But beware of the the package having 'malicious' code! Just kidding it does not. But if you don't believe me (which you don't) run a MD5 check.
If you think Cyanlabs is out to get you, download the file from FORD yourself, and make your own install flash drive. There are vast instructions out on the interwebs about how to do so.
How do you know Apple did not inject your most recent iOS update with 'malicious' code and is monitoring your every message and call?
Last comment about your absurd concern of injected malicious code onto your infotainment system.

You absolutely can. Use Cyanlabs, verify your APIM can accept a reformat, and do a reformat install of 3.4.22251.

If you don't trust the file that FORD uploaded onto their server, why are you going to trust an OTA update of the same file from the same FORD ?

Why do you think of yourself so high and mighty? You’re not and some day I do hope that you’ll know it. For now, I’ll be here to spoon feed you the reality that you deserve.
Reloading wouldn’t be insanity because I went eight months before using carplay. I know enough now what to expect and what not to do.
