Now back to the problem and the facts. The conclusion here is that Ford delivered a flawed build. Ford doesn’t have an officially corrected release and here we are with hacks trying to come up with their own remedy. Oh, that’s reassuring.
You say “back to the problem and the facts”, yet you were the one with all the wacko conspiracy theories about where this came from despite it being pretty clearly documented that this is a software bug in an update.

Yep, it is. I am one of the ones who used the fix. I actually read ALL the posts in this thread. I read the posts in other forums on other sites on this issue. I downloaded Fords own tool to validate the software bug myself, on my own car. I ran the cleaner tool (from a different site), and ran Fords too again to verify it did it's job. Then I used the CyanLabs tool, and installed the newest sync build, and it has been working for a month now flawlessly.
Just like trying to change the oil on your '82 Tempo when you were younger - the first time you did it you probably weren't sure of everything. But guess what, by the 5, 10th, or 100th time you change the oil on your car it is smooth, quick, and easy. But guess what, just like changing your own oil, or doing any home repairs, or anything else, it requires some.critical thinking skills. It will require some effort, patience, and work. And the default response of more elaborate conspiracy theories or thinking everyone is out to do something nefarious to your world is not helpful.
And if you don't understand something, don't throw a name at it, come on to the site here or elsewhere and ask politely for help. Nobody here is paid for this stuff, it is a community. Nobody is entitled to sh*t, we all are guests in our towns central park, so to speak. Critical thinking and practical, thoughtful solutions to the problems first.

Wrong. Software, firmware, and hardware are all vulnerable to hacking. Your own remedy is a hack to a problem that you quickly dismiss as a software bug. It seems that you’re trying to minimize in order to keep the peace. Oh don’t yell fire in a theater, people might think there’s a fire and actually run for the door. That’s not a bad thing if there really is a fire is it? Your success to remedy the problem hasn’t disproved the fire. Ford still hasn’t figured it out and you certainly don’t know what happened either. My upgrade took place in December of 2022 and was flawless until August of 2023. My problem began when I cabled my iPhone to the usb port so that I could use Apple carplay. Now that’s either a coincidence that something got corrupted or it was an exploit of a vulnerability. We don’t know. Finally, why hasn’t Ford provided a way for us to reload the software? Until this problem is corrected, it is about safety.

The scenario is pretty simple. The update (3.4.22251) is a large file. When you plugged in your phone, the mobile apps the phone had turned on in settings also download into the APIM’s limited memory. I don’t claim to be a software engineer, or the smartest guy in the room, by any means. But, when you’ve got a memory already close to capacity, depending on how it prioritizes files, it doesn’t have room for everything it’s been given. Therefore, it can’t access it all correctly. The jailbreak clears out the memory, and allows everything to function as it should, since it’s now under-capacity. Seems fairly straightforward. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Default 2020 same issue

I’ve had the same issue since the software update to 3.4. Is there any real fix to this issue yet ?
