You clearly have little understanding, a closed mind, and are not adding value to the conversation. With your only 10 posts in the forum being a nuisance in this thread you are not off to a positive start contributing to the community.

Also, if true it would be a breach (not a breech).

This is not a state actor attack so stop with the nonsense.
Your iPhone did not load a virus onto your truck. This is honestly the dumbest thing I have read in a while.
It is due to a bug in a specific software release where the log files are filling up the storage partition. End of story.

If you think cynalabs is stealing, and the "hack" workarounds are a joke, just live with the bugs until Ford does or does not eventually release the official fix and you can't figure out how to update it.

If you are willing to listen to the helpful folks here, there are workarounds or even permanent fixes and they have also proven out the issue and have provided the information for you to verify for yourself.
1. Downgrade to a previous Sync version without the bug
2. Use the developed tool to clear the log data
3. Upgrade to the new 3.4.23188 release that fixes the bug

Again if you do not like the idea of any of these because they were not mailed to you in a blue oval-shaped envelope from Ford Corporate, then tolerate the issues or go work with the service department at your dealer and let them replace the APIM hardware for a software bug that will reoccur again.

I see I need to download Sync3 Updater.
Besides the latest tar.gz file that I downloaded, what other file(s) would I need?

Thank you for the help. This issue is killing me haha.
I have a 2019 XLT with Sync and Navigation

Could you elaborate on which path you are trying to take?
Are you attempting to use the utility to clear the storage space? Or upgrade to the new release that just recently showed up?

Default Apparently the fix will be pushed by end of Sept.

I had an online chat with the Ford Technology customer service dept. yesterday and was told the their engineers are aware of the problems and have created an update that fixes them and that the update is currently in testing with a release expected by the end of September. It seems you can install that update yourself now using the CyanLabs tool, but I'll just deal with the annoyance until Ford pushes the fix.

Please forward the "reformatting" link you referenced as included in the "3.4 upgrade thread"? Tx, much.

For all I know, it's intentional - they know a small subset of folks will find them and install them early and report issues on an open forum. It could be an unofficial unsanctioned beta testing program.
There are several different people on this thread who have taken various approaches to this problem where some have failed and some have had success. The people that claim to have success only offer superficial explanations as to how it was done and are of no help in my opinion. They pretend to know what caused the problem and rest assured in themselves for now.

What is the url so that I can load the un-released version into my 2020? I did not discover how to reload the previous version from SiamLabs. Their autoloader was forbidden to be used on 2020 or newer. This other wiper utility I cannot find nor do I know how to use it. Do I need a laptop to interface to the truck?

I am only 10 posts strong, so it may seem that I’m not quite as confident in this hacking procedure as some and wear a tin foil hat. You really don’t know.

Would you know if APIM has an internal battery backup for its RAM? Could explain much. Tx.

This seems like a tad more than a superficial explanation. I didn't go back further but there are more posts with similar levels of detail. Also check other forums.

I’m at a point, now, where I don’t think you have any interest in actually making anything different in your own truck, if you even own one. You just enjoy playing the antagonist. I spent my time reading this entire thread from the first post until I had a solid understanding of what the issue was, and how to resolve it (3 times, total). It worked. You’ve had multiple people tell you it worked. If you want to try it, educate yourself like we all did. If not, just live with it and let it go.

Not so fast. I wouldn’t be interested in this problem if I didn’t own one or maybe ten F150’s, you’ll never know. This thread is confusing to say the least and many people on here are still struggling with the suggested remedies. Don’t pat yourself on the back because you think that you’ve conquered it and you’ve helped everybody out. You haven’t. No one like you has provided a reference to a concise procedure because the fact is there isn’t one. I’ve read them all too, buddy. There is such discontinuity, sentence fragments, incomplete thoughts, circular links to nothing, and hooey that nothing is helpful. I am impressed that you got it though.
