I was a my dealer yesterday, show the writer the problem, he said there are many different complaints about the radio system. As in... lots of problems from customers.
I should find out later today any kind of results of fix's.

 

They replaced my APIM. Have not had any issues since

 

Which makes scents because a new unit would not have a full memory which seems to be the reason for all the problems. An expensive fix for a full memory if not under warranty.

 

The guy told me they were seeing an increasing number of similar (but not identical) issues in mid-10s and later. He said the memory explanation made sense, but Ford didn’t give him a repair alternative other than replacing the APIM.

Agreed, whoever gets the “bad” APIMs that Ford is swapping under warranty will have an easy flip on the secondary market.

 

Ford needs to step up.
This is absolute BULL*****.
mine is good because of the BARRYFIX @barrytone im trademarking that name cause your a legend.
But in reality, Ford needs to fix this crap. the last time i talked to a support person from ford, she said they have had multiple calls per day about this issue
but it needs to be taken into the dealer. the Dealer always says new APIM which is money out of your pocket if you past warranty.
Ford need to fix this and cut @barrytone and myself a cheque(because i own the trademark BARRYFIX) for this easy fix.

 

Today mine got stuck on the reverse camera and then went black. I was able to do a master reset which seems like a temporary fix. Hoping to get the Barry fix soon

 

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the issue people are experiencing post update to the most recent release?
