At this rate I'll probably wait till spring.
One less winter on them and the brakes.
My 2016 has less than 26k miles.
I don't drive it much and noticed a vibration at highway speeds when braking.
Michigan winters really destroy the rotors.
You could always save it and do a virus scan prior to opening it. Lots of folks, myself included post WSM info in PDF form and I’ve never once in all of my years on this forum heard of a virus being detected in a WSM print to pdf file.
All, new to the group, I have a question about the bilstein perch kit, and wheather there should be something rubbber/plastic between the spring and the perch to keep if from squeaking?? I have looked all over the net and can't find this info. The kit B4-KT1-Z417A00 did not come with one nor can I find a bilstein part. that is the question, here is what I am doing. last year I hit a mulie going 85 and crushed the front end of the truck. When I go it fixed I installed a front bumper steel craft bumper that weighs ~230 lbs. this dropped the front down 2 inches so I need 4 inches of lift to level. My current springs are stock 515lbs , I have purchased General Spring CARGOMAX HD 650lb springs that are advertised to lift the truck 2 inches. I purchased Bilstein 5100s front and back new hats, bilstein perch kits, moog upper and lower control arms and a caster camber kit. The tie rods and ends were replaced during the wreck repair. I sourced a Branick 7200 off CL for $200 that needed bushings. My thought is to set the bilsteins at 1/2 inch lift, the 650lb level springs should take care of the droop and add 2 inches. So the lift will be close to 2.5 inches . I will use the stock 18's for now with 295/70s. I will post the build here, But back to the question I have do I need something between the spring and the lower perch. Thx!

Conservative leveling - up 1 tire size and .8” front suspension. From stock 275/55R20 Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain Adventure Kevlar to Falken Wildpeak A/T4W 275/60R20 on OEM wheels. Shocks upgraded from stock (FX4 if that matters) to Bilstein 5100. Spec-wise, the new tires are 1-inch diameter taller, from 32” to 33”, although the installed height on the truck of the Falken WPs is more like 32.25”. I didn’t measure the stock tires that came off after 6 years and 44K miles. I did weigh them though. The worn stock tire/wheel combo weighed 70 lbs. while the new, larger tire combo weighs 85 lbs. each.
After the installation:
Front-end alignment
Headlight adjustment
Tire circumference adjustment in FORScan.
Discussing the tire circumference adjustment is subject matter for the FORScan thread. Suffice to say, it took several tries to get the speedo close to GPS.
I installed the shocks myself. Rears are easy, fronts are challenging. Not my first suspension job, but first time on this truck. I would rate it as a hard job, at least for an old guy, working solo, in the garage. Took me about 7-hours. Would have thought side 2 would go quicker than side 1, but no. Stage3 Motorsports hasa good video of the process. I watched it several times then pause/watched it to write a full page of instructions that I referred to throughout the job. That was helpful because there are a lot of steps that need to be done in order. If you tackle this job, use a good set of spring compressors. The borrow/rent tool I got from O’Reilly’s was barely adequate, time-consuming and frustrating to use.
Bottom line – I’m happy with the outcome. This is how the FX4 package should look – not all off-roady looking or compensating for lost testosterone, just a little more capable on dirt roads with minimal on-road compromise.

3in Rough Country Lifted Struts with a 1in strut spacer
I currently have a 3in rough country lifted strut and I was wondering if my angles would be okay if I added a 1in strut spacer on top. I have 2017 f150 Fx4. I’m measuring 42in in the rear and 41in in the front and want an extra inch to be level. Can this work?

No, the addition of a 1" spacer would be too much. The 13th gen 150's are pretty well maxed out with a 3" level.
I have right about a 3" level with Halo Lift Aluma struts, and it all works, but I'm not going higher.

We need a measurement from the center of the wheel to the top of the fender to give an accurate answer.
