Sandy, you're NOT out of line at all. In my world, it's not SOP to stick a block in, unless the customer asks for it. Reminds me of a place I used a couple times because I had no choice, they didn't speak the same English I guess.

Got it home and measured it and sure enough the back end was now just under 3" higher than the front. The oppsite of level, it was less level. So went back and tore a strip off the manager because I felt like they were ripping me off, charging me for these rear blocks and the labour on top, and now they're fixing it but am I out of line for being pissed off or is this how most get installed? I wanted my truck to be more level not less.

Got any pics where we can see the full view of the truck?

So, you went in, to get the truck ‘leveled’, they put a leveling kit on the front end, and it seemed perfectly appropriate, in order to make sure you are pleased with your ‘level’, they lifted the back end three inches higher?

Does anyone else find this to be hilarious?
OP excluded, of course.

I dont know how the OP wouldnt have popped a cork as soon as he saw his truck. This is about as fraudulent as... nevermind.

EDIT: I would have asked if they knew what the word level meant.. now we are all assuming this happened they way it has been communicated. If he asked for a 2" lift.. then that is kinda what he got.

Hi there,
Does your truck rub at all? Backing up full lock, turning into a slanted driveway? Did you have to remove, trim, cut, modify anything?

I really want 20x10 wheels maybe 20x9.5 and really like the stance of your -44.

Thank you!

Before level

After 1.5" level, gained a little over 1.6" after driving out and pulling back in to settle the suspension.

285/75r17 (34/11.50) Toyo AT3 (prior to level)

Did great keeping up with the jeeps on its first time out with the new tires.

This was a $23 ebay 1.5" Leveling kit. Took me about 1.5 hrs to install. 1 hour the first side, 30 minutes the second side. I removed the lover control arm to do this. I left the bolts/studs attached to the lower strut. Doing this made a 1.5" probably the max you would want to install with this method. If you removed the studs, I think you could install up to at least a 2.5" no problem.

^ ^ ^ Congrats on getting your truck leveled. Curious, did you have your truck's wheels aligned after dropping the lower control arms? I ask because that is where the caster and camber adjustments originate. Love the tire choice!

You removed the lower control arms to install spacers? Can I ask why?

I did get an alignment and they only adjusted the toe as the rest was fine. I was very careful to reinstall the bolts back exactly where they came out.

Saves time and I don't have to mess around with the IWE which some people have problems with after installing a level (I'm sure it's usually installation error, but why risk it). This was my first leveling kit and it was easy. I could do it again in less than an hour.

BTW, I did a more thorough writeup here: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/285-7...-level-491933/
