Composite spacers that the installer recommended. They've done 2-3 late model F150 levels a weeks for some years, no issues.

So after the level with FOX's 2.5 (left default at 2) I decided to go with nitto terra grappler 275/65r20 and fuel vapor 20x9. +1
They arrived, in great shape and looking awesome. Spent about 20 minutes swapping them out.

1. My lugs wont allow center caps to be installed, ordered 3/4 lugs which arrive tomorrow.
2. TPMS tool didn't work worth a crap, releasing air from tire worked like a charm to reprogram TPMS
3. Speedo off at city/residential speeds by about 2 miles per hour. Highway speeds off 3 to 4 mph depending on how fast you are going. In the 50's off by 3, above 65 off by 4
4. with this tire/rim combo very little room behind front tires. I had to remove mud flaps which tire impacted during test wheel turns. I doubt I could get much larger of tire without trimming back there.
5. Noticed with this tire and rim setup turning steering wheel much easier
6. also noticed with this setup slop in steering.
7. noticed much more bumpiness when bumps are hit (although have I to retest, this is probably a tire pressure issue, like an idiot i assumed they shipped at least close to proper pressure.... they did not, they were almost all near 50psi and should have been 80)
8. with +1 I was expecting to see more tire stick out past the fender than I do, pleasant surprise that it was only slight.
9. Terra grapplers G2 not as quiet as advertised, but not bad at all. Main reason I heard road noise from them is I was listening for it. Easily remedied by turning up stereo volume!

So I have to complete the following over the next couple of days:

1. swap out lugs and install center caps
2. forscan to re-calibrate my speedo for current tire size.
3. forscan to adjust tire pressure, don't want it telling me im low below 30psi now that I have 80psi tires.
4. get an alignment once again to see of steering slop goes away (that and correct tire pressure) I am guessing going from 31.9 to 34.1 in tire size has changed my alignment at least slightly.
5. final product pics posted to this awesome thread!

Now if we could only install powered tailgates that not only only open but also close...... I could drastically increase my laziness.

You're not seriously going to run 80psi are you? Somewhere between upper 30s and mid 40s is where you'll want to be.

So you go to the manufacture site (or look at the side of your tire and find PSI REQ's... ) so if I had gotten the non LT version of the tire, yep you are correct, however compare the 2: they are very different tires.... NOTE DIFFERENCES:

(here is where pressures you pointed our come into play, although with a 44 REQ I would be running 40-44, not 30's to 40's)

size = 275/65R20 116S
stock# = 216050
tire depth = 13.0
inflated dimensions = 34.09 10.98
rim width = 7.5-(8.0)-9.5
load = 2756 @
PSI = 44
tread depth = 13/32
load range = standard load
weight = 47.40

And here is the tire I purchased....

size = LT275/65R20 E 126/123S
stock# = 215110
tire depth = 16.0
inflated dimensions = 34.09 10.98
rim width = 7.5-(8.0)-9.5
load = 3750/3415 @
PSI = 80
tread depth = 16/32

load range = e-10 ply
weight = 56.08

Not following REQ's on pressures is the best way to reduce life through over or under inflation wear of your tires not to mention unsafe assuming you are running at or near load limitations. I do agree, unless I am at that load I dont see why I need 80 PSI. I am thinking I will contact nitto and verify correct pressure for my setup with these tires.

Dude, what's on the side of the tire is the psi for MAX load of said tire, not the recommended pressure for daily driving. I run my LT275/65-20 tires at 38, great ride, normal wear.

Next up: starting a thread asking why my truck rides like a rail car...

Thanks, wasn't going to run @ 80 but didn't know what best pressure for this tire should be. how many miles so far at 38?

Right now air in tires is whatever was left last night after I drained them to train the TPMS. Didn't check to see what they were at when finished, it was late. will check today and air up in needed. they started anywhere from 46-58 depending on which tire. none had same pressure when I received them, not even close.

did someone lower their truck and install Lincoln continental suspension to ride like a car? LOL

Sent a note to Nitto to find out what recommended pressure is according to their site it is whatever your vehicle manufacturer suggests as long as you have stock size. If not.... contact your tire dealer.

"With the right amount of air pressure, your tires will perform better, wear longer and save fuel. The "right amount" of air pressure for the original equipment or same size tires is specified by the vehicle manufacturer and may be different for front and rear tires. Check with your Nitto dealer if the replacement tires on your vehicle are no longer the same size as the O.E. tires."

An update to this recently discovered.

So the FOX 2.5 left at default 2.0 with 275/65r20's and 12x9 fuel vapor +1 rims DO IN FACT RUB but only at HARD lock in reverse (why only in reverse?).... I have yet to crawl under to determine what is rubbing. Once I figure it out I will either adjust the Fox's a bit higher and or trim a little underneath.The rub is not bad, but enough to notice at hard lock so hopefully raising the Fox's does the trick.

Okay got forscan done and now my speedometer is accurate at both residential and highway speeds.
removed air from all tires taking them all down to 36 until I hear anything different from Nitto will keep between 35 and 40 but all matched. Left PSI mark default in forscan for same reason.
replaced lug nuts with shorties now center caps fit.
Alignment scheduled for Monday

And here is what I was referring to about not much clearance behind front tire. only turning though, wheels straight, plenty of clearance.
