The Leveling Kit Thread-h52aavb.jpg

5100s all around set at 2.1". 17x8.5 +01 offset and 285/75/17 toyos. Had rubbing on front and rear crash bars on passenger side, barely touched rear crash bar on driver's side. A little massaging with a BFH and it's perfect.

I agonized about 5.5 or 6.5 box +/- s, it's amazing how a 12" wheelbase can be so much different, but it is. Not being a daily and coming from an SD 8' box the 5.5 was just too big of a change It rides like butter with those 70 series KO'S and 157" WB.

I admittedly don't really haul a ton and the 5.5 is really enough for me. It's just when I go camping or something when I'm jamming a ton of firewood, tents, canopies, ice chests, etc, in there that it seems to get full really fast. I'm thinking of getting a utility trailer for camping stuff.

Any one have a good reason when installing the Bilstein Stuts and shocks that I would then need to buy new cams for the front?

How do you like this set up so far? I’m looking to do similar go from stock on a 2015 platinum to 33-34s. Looking to get good advice. So far I’m looking at the Bilstein struts and shocks with either Toyo or BFG. I tow about 8000 on the weekend

OMG, shirley you can't be serious? A pliers will allow that to rotate, or a crescent wrench, or pretty much any blunt object. There is nothing anti-symmetrical about that bottom strap, it rotates just fine. This has to be craziest thing I have ever read on a forum. Mind blowing.

So... after thinking about my headlights being high post-leveling, I checked them last night and they were 7" high according to the procedure in the owners manual. I had never considered that when I was putting my Fox 2.0s on up front.

I guess I'm missing it but what's the point of rotating the coil or tophat??

Supposedly the bottom mount is not reversible, so you have to get the top bolts back in the right orientation 180 degrees out.

The kicker is, they are reversible, I have done it.
