When I finally did get mine open, I hooked a nylon strap to it, attached to the head rest post so I'd never have to go through that again.

unbolting the side of the seat from the floor makes this a lot easier.

BuiltRight Industries makes a solution for that tough to reach latch. I’ve also heard of folks using a boxed end wrench to release the latch.

I set my belt minder off on every truck I get. I use my seatbelt on the highway but not while creeping along offroad jeep trails. I used to use this procedure to turn it off but now I use FORScan.

That's kinda funny, "creeping along offroad jeep trails" is what got me to start wearing my seat belt all the time, way back when I was in my twenties. I also turn off the minder as I don't need a nanny telling me to do something I do on my own.

I watch some of the Youtube videos of rock crawling etc., and cringe at most drivers not wearing a seat belt. No doors, risk of roll-over, natural tendency to reach out to 'catch yourself'. Seems to me there are a lot of lucky people out there that aren't seriously crippled or worse due to not being strapped in. The attitude of "I'm just going to the store, or end of the street" so why wear a seat belt has caused lots of funerals.

Rock crawling and creeping along a jeep trail are not comparable.

That's exactly when I make sure I'm strapped in. But I might drive around a parking lot, turn the truck around in the driveway, etc. without the belt on, so I have it turned off too for both seats.

Maybe it's already on here but..... you know how our back up cam at night is washed out and sux really bad? It's not from the reverse lights, it's mainly from the LICENSE plate lights. I stole this from BITOG.....

Plasti-dip or paint about 2/3 of the light cover. I just stuck some painters tape over mine last night to try it out, man it makes a world of difference. Not exactly hi-def, but usable now.
