Plasti-dip or paint about 2/3 of the light cover. I just stuck some painters tape over mine last night to try it out, man it makes a world of difference. Not exactly hi-def, but usable now.
Top half, bottom half, or does it matter?

BuiltRight Industries makes a solution for that tough to reach latch. I’ve also heard of folks using a boxed end wrench to release the latch.
My new to me 19 F150 already has a strap that sticks up but pulling on it does nothing and the back of the seat is right up against the rear wall sop I cant even get my hand down there to see what's up.
I haven't tried to hard to be honest but I'll look into it soon lol....getting the VCT solenoids replaced is a more important concern right now.

You have to pull the seat bottom up a bit for the back to come down when you pull the strap.

There is a strap behind each seating position from the factory that has nothing to do with lowering the seat back. The one you add for that will be closer to the door.
And I don't have to raise the bottom section to lower the back. But it does help if yours doesn't have the aftermarket strap so you can get your hand or something behind it to pull the tiny release.

Just went and double checked mine. You’re right. You do not have to raise the lower seat, but it does help if you do.

Sorry for the misinformation.

There is a thread on here that shows how to do it and how to add a strap. I connected the top of the strap I added to the headrest bar so it easy to get at.

Mine stayed sticking up for years but now is a bit limp so need to tie it up now .went out this morning and had to dig it out from behind the seat.
