Does anyone have the exact part number from ford for a USB module for Car play on a 2016 F150? Thank you all for all of this info!
Look at the bottom of the first post in this thread. It has a couple of part numbers that will work with CarPlay.

I'm at the dealer now for the satellite radio service bulletin. I asked them to update the sync and he seemed to know what I was talking about. We'll see what happens. The service advisor seems clueless since he wanted to charge me $300 for the antenna even though the truck is only 3 weeks old and it's obviously a warranty issue.

This thread makes it quite apparent on how many are too lazy to read (even the very first post) and help themselves expecting to be spoon fed and/or are lacking basic computer skills at this day and age. Its honestly quite mind boggling!

While there are a lot of members in the thread trying to help, I can only imagine JM061 is second guessing putting this out to the public with all the PM’s, headaches, handholding, etc.

Thank you for saying this! I've stopped reading the thread because people refuse to read. It's extremely frustrating and frankly, embarrassing for those asking questions that have been answered over and over again.

I called a local (gulf coast FL) dealer last week. They had zero in stock, so they're sourcing one from a dealership out of state at no additional cost. Yours should be able to do the same?

Google Walt Sweeney Ford and order Ford part # GJ7Z-19A387-B - That's the one I ordered and CarPlay works fine in my '16 F-150 XLT.

Go to fordparts.com, select your local dealer, if it is not in stock, order the part anyway, they will receive it from Ford warehouse. Mine took a few days this way.

Default Computer Dummy successfully installed update to 2.2

I was not sure by an means that I could install version 2.2 to my 2016 F150
using the instructions/files here for my Non-Nav. Sync3. " I DID IT". I very much appreciate this site and the kind person responsible. Will be sending
a little beer money when I locate the email address again.

I did experience a problem. After downloading File 1 OK the truck was
turned off and I walk around for a couple of minutes before starting up
and inserting File 2. System would not read the second Flash
Drive. I when back to my desktop and tried to find out what I did wrong.
Around 45 minutes later I tried
again and had success. My only guess is it took the radio a while to
handle File 1 before it would read File 2. Well, 2.2 is now installed and
I am most pleased.
