While there are a lot of members in the thread trying to help, I can only imagine JM061 is second guessing putting this out to the public with all the PM’s, headaches, handholding, etc.
Not at all....as I stated I wouldn't answer PMs etc and people still sent messages and email...straight to the trash can. If they had a technical issue where something was failing to load or something like that I was was happy to help. The reason for the READ ME file was to alleviate "how do I do this." Common sense dictates that if you DL a zip file you unzip it and the first thing that stands out is the READ ME file which means just that...read me.

The biggest issue that came up is the system seems to like some flash drives and hates others. Not sure why that is, but as someone stated in another forum all flash drives are not created equal and do behave differently.

I do agree people need to learn to read...its a sticky...that usually means important information is located in the first thread. Unfortunately the way the forum is setup I can't go back and edit the post myself. I have to ask the admin to do so.

The other thing is the forum seemed to have an influx of new users after this got posted. This is a F150 forum and people assumed the USB hub is the same for the Mustang, Fiesta, etc....simply not the case so now they lost the use of their dash mounted USB hub. Research, contact your dealer...they can pull up the proper part #. Its the difference between a terminated dual port hub (example..F150) and daisy chained single port hub (example Mustang).

Maybe host the latest, complete info somewhere else and just put a link in the first post, that way there is no need to ask an admin each time there is something new to add.

On the other hand, if someone can't read through and find the relevant information, they might be better off waiting for the automatic update to be released.

So I think if you wanted to not buy the USB hub you could probably use a female mini female USB (like a ps3/4 controller size) to iPhone adapter, and it might work. Unless their really is a specific chip in the hub vs just the old hub being incompatable.

what I find weird is I did the update last week and Apple CarPlay has been running great. A big THANK YOU to everyone involved.

I decided to check my owner page and it says that I still have version 1.0.

Just bought one! I've been waiting for a few weeks to get my backordered one... Thanks for the post about them on eBay.

Mine still says 1.0 on the owner page as well. I have it set for automatic updates, and have manually had it search for updates multiple times, but the search for updates never completes - just spins & spins...
