Could someone please confirm there are 5 tar files in the NAV and 6 tar files in the NON-NAV installs?

I have NAV and want to make sure I am using the correct install files. I got the .zip at the following link: http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread....0870#pid100870 I am not sure why the 2 zip files are the same name???

Also, wading through all of the information, it seems I do not need a new USB hub given I have Android. Is that correct?

Thanks!

Could someone please post the link to get the upgrade files? I am not able to get the one in this thread to work. I think the link is down.

Thanks

I purchased and installed part #GJ7Z-19A387-B. Phones still will NOT charge with this hub installed and CarPlay does NOT work either. I did a Factory Restore after the install and still no go. I have tried the following Apple devices:
iPhone 7+
iPhone 6
iPhone 6+
iPad Mini 4 - Wanted to see if the device would charge
iPad 2 - Wanted to see if the device would charge

What am I missing here?

thanks in advance,

John
Are you using an official apple lightning usb cord?

Jacob, yes I am. I tried 3 different cables. 2 brand new from iPhone 7+ purchase over the holidays and 1 from my iPad mini. All are known working cables.

There should be 2 different cables plugged into the port. When you switched the hub out did you plug both of them in?

Yes, there is a thin grey plug and the larger black plug that contains the mini usb plug. I verified multiple times I had the plugs installed correctly.

With the iPhone connected into the USB via the apple lightning cord...did you perhaps cancel the initial set up for carplay? you may want to go to settings...general...carplay on your iPhone and see if that helps prompt the carplay to initiate.

I haven't been able to get the phone to initiate the carplay setup. Every time I go to the Settings for carplay, the gear just spins next to Available Cars. I have tried both USB plugs on the hub.

At the very least, shouldn't the phone be charging when plugged in? I can't even get it to do that.

The lights on the USB hub are on and working.

John I think you have another issue here. You not being able to charge anything makes me wonder that you don't have another hardware issue. You might try removing the negative battery cable for a few minutes then reconnecting it. Thats the only way you can be sure you reset all the electronics. That is the next thing I'd do. If that doesn't work maybe someone else has some ideas. It may be time to take it to Ford. You didn't pull on the wiring harness and pull a wire lose when you changed the hub out. The grey plug is the one that supplies power to the hub assembly. Please reply back as to your progress. Richard
