A little update.

Got my truck back after a new APIM was installed. So far so good, running smooth and quick.

Curiously, I am now at 2.0.

Ha! You're funny. Not until 2.2.1 is released would I even begin to think to upgrade.

I skimmed this thread but there are just too many pages. What is the best tool to take out the old USB hub and is it pretty easy to do?

Default Apple Carplay - Crazy Spotify App

Does anyone else have the issue when Spotify will just start randomly playing a song, after a phone call, after a text message, soon as you plug your phone in, or even sometimes out of the blue for no reason.
Arggg. It's driving me crazy. I've turned off the auto-play option in the settings, thats about the only option i see that would maybe control this.
Just about ready to uninstall that app forever.

So, I'm about to use this truck for target practice. I have a 16 XLT with the Sync 3 system (version 2). Since I bought the truck, no issues. Used a random USB cable I had laying around, plugged in my Samsung Note 5, installed Android Auto, perfect. Well lately it had been having issues, randomly dropping conmection, but I had always been able to get it back. The other day, it completely stopped working. Tried a new cable, nothing. So, since my Note 5 is getting older, I thought, maybe it's the phone. Tried my gf's iPhone 7 Plus, whoch SHOULD just work, without installing an app, but I get nothing. So anyone else have this issue? I want to say the hub is going bad, but the phones will charge. I'm now contemplating buying the upgrade parts to just get the factory nav and not deal with this BS anymore.

Take it to the dealer, have them replace the APIM and flash you to the latest current version (2.2). It seems like it is a warrantable (is that even a word?) fix.

If you still want factory nav I have a spare nav apim, PM me.
