Overall, this update has been a crapshow: glitchy interface, losing bluetooth, and GPS is constantly losing signal.

you may want to reload just the OS (operating system). That's the SA file that I have the install file for on the very first post. See if a reload fixes your issues.

Hmmm... interesting.

I had 1.1, updated via wifi to 2.2 and the interface seems to be getting worse, especially the NAV GPS.

Now how does that file help me in this circumstance?

It re-installs the operating system in case something messed up during the initial install.

So after getting the bad installation file and out of memory messages a few weeks ago the update started to download last night OTA. The status bar got to about 20% and stopped. So frustrating 😕. Still haven't heard back from ford since my issue was escalated.

Do you have access to a reliable, safe wifi? If so, you can just have the truck update itself. If your dealer has wifi, you can always park outside and update from there.

This is not covered by warranty though you might be able to get it done as a courtesy while your truck is in for other service (The Works-oil, filter, rotation) or some other work.

As for doing it yourself, check your manual on how to update via wifi.

Don't hold your breath. I'm still waiting on a Sync question from last October. When I contacted them 4 months later, their answer 'we said we will get back to you when we have a resolution to your problem". And I honestly don't expect to get an answer.

Did you try to update with the wrong version?

i originally tried updating with the version they sent me with the USB. Now it just seems like the wifi update is stuck.

have patience with the OTA. all the sudden mine worked. I think starting the truck where I know there is wifi and letting it idle for awhile helped. Seemed like it resumed its place.

So I have a new icon in the upper right corner which Im going to assume is a cell signal strength? Non-Nav version here. never had that icon before
