I have some things I need to clarify if some people can help. I have read through this thread many times, and I am just very confused about some things, and I have not seen many with the same version sync as me. I have version 1.0 on my 2016 xlt with navigation. I have the blue usb hub. Do I need to wait for the official update from Ford? I know there is a zip for non-nav, but have not seen one for nav. Also, since I already have the blue usb hub, do I still need to buy a new one? I have been to the dealer and they know nothing. The answers may be in this thread and I might have just missed them ,but If anyone can help clear some of this up for me it would be great. Thanks

No luck unfortunately. With the 2.2 you can actually force it to check for Updates Now but that doesn't help either. Guess will give it some more time and see.

How is the message misleading? It says it last checked on "X" date, and that's what it did.
Because "auto update" should mean what it says.

My update was successful - Thank you!

Two questions:

1. I thought the heated seat controls were supposed to show up on the screen? Mine aren't.
2. I also thought the heated steering wheel was supposed to show levels instead of the single button? Mine is the same single on/off display.

Did I just mis-read?

Pretty sure that was a forscan that someone did not just the update. But if someone tells you otherwise and can tell how to get those options on there please let me know!

I also had Sync 3 v 1.0 in my 2016 Lariat with NAV. I also have the blue 2 slot (the usb ports are vertical, next to each other)

The zip for the NAV is here: Look halfway down the page - you will see 2 links.
http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread....881&pid=100870

Actually, the files are both there (non-NAV and NAV). Make sure you download the NAV file. This is directly from Ford.

Once downloaded, extract the files onto a thumb drive that has been formatted as FAT32 with 4096 sectors. Make sure your thumb drive has a capacity >4Gb. Mine is 16Gb.

Once that is complete, you will see one folder and a file in the root of the thumb drive. Open the folder and there should be 5 files. If there are 6 files in the folder, you have the wrong zip file.

When you have verified the thumb drive and file contents, take the thumb drive to your truck, start it and insert the thumb drive. The truck will automatically start the update process. Mine took less than 15 minutes total to update.

Once finished, you will get a message that says download complete. Remove the thumb drive and shut off your truck.

Wait 5 minutes and start the truck back up.

Your maps will not automatically show up. Don't worry, they come back after a bit.

You can verify the version by going back into general | about. The screen will update and display that you are on Sync 3 v2.2

As for the hub itself, I do not have an iPhone, so I am not certain if you also need the hardware update. From what I have read, you do, but I'd test it first.

I have a 2016 xlt non nav, downloaded the non-nav 2 part file, 1st part loaded fine, 2nd part had this message;"Installation failed" error message. "The installation has run out of space or does not work with this version." Ive tries both part 1 & 2 and get the same message! Any idea's, tried 2 different brand usb drives.

Question on the Carplay map on non-nav radios. When I press the map button on the Sync screen a lovely map of North America shows up and a blue dot showing where I am. However I need to click zoom a number of times to get to the street level. Is this correct or am I missing a setting?

Has anyone else noticed that the exterior temp takes FOREVER to update on V 2.2? I'm talking minutes instead of the seconds that it took on V 1.0

I wish there was an option to have AA use the truck's external temp sensor vice the Google feed too. Here in Anchorage, that feed is from Ted Stevens Int'l Airport which is always about 10-15 degrees colder than where my house is in Upper Hillside.
