Hi Chris,

In my case I will definetely try the dip switch setting but it will only be next weekend. I post my result at that time.

If anyone else want to try it and post it would be great.

The idea is that the documentation for the bottom DIP switch #4 would be in error...

IMPORTANT: when you make dip setting changes the module must be unplugged from the vehicle or they won't stick. Please unplug the module, make the dip change, then plug the module back in.

Thanks and be back to you soon with progress.

Hi Chris,
My current dip switch settings are as follows:
Camera input:1=OFF, 2=ON, 3=ON, 4=ON
Vehicle Config: 1=OFF, 2=ON, 3=OFF, 4=OFF

I changed the dip setting of #4 on the vehicle configuration to ON, as suggested above. I did this with the module unplugged from the harness and then re-installed. The system operated as normal while driving. However manual activation has the front camera only , no rear camera at all, moving or not. I reversed the changes and and now back to rear cam available in manual activation only while stopped or under 7.

Looking forward to any progress you have to share.

Hi @carrierj,

Just to make sure, you have a 2015 (taken from your signature) with Sync2 ?

Yes that is correct.

Edit: Which reminds me, I also checked for Nav interference from side cams. No issues there for Sync 2 it seems.

Yes, still possible. I have the front, no sides yet. The nav issues are not that big of deal for me. The bigger issue is when in manual mode, you do not receive rear camera picture above 7 mph. The front still works. I mostly use the front when pulling into parking places. I like that when you enable the rear camera delay in the APIM, and you switch out of reverse back into drive, you get the front camera instead of the rear. Great for keeping from running into items place in front of my parking spot in the garage.

Camera-source.com has great support and am sure they will have a solution and/or firmware update soon.

The system works well. I wouldn't describe it as glitchy (maybe the nav issue is but I don't have nav), so if you want a front camera you should go for it.

Hi all,

I've tested the VEHICLE CONFIG DIP#4 to ON and I got the same result as @CARRIERJ in my 2016.

When I put the transmission in reverse, the backup camera show normally but "manual mode" does no longer show the backup camera.

Default Ok

I am waiting to see if so called glitches are addressed before I get one. It seems a lot of work to install front and side and I would rather do it once with a peace of mind .
