The power for the seats comes from the controls on the bezel on the 302a, on the lariat it comes from a control unit on the seat. What you are suggesting lacks both of the necessary items?

You know what you said got me thinking, the box that Fiasco17 I was looking at making is essentially a replacement for the box under the seats, why can't we just create a wiring harness that wires one of the boxes behind the dash and outputs the wires to the seat? Honestly if somebody had all the wiring and pinouts I could probably figure that out myself.

Essentially this is what we would be doing.

Unplugging the factory wiring harness from the bezel, creating a splice harness that fits in between the factory harness and the bezel that has one of the seat modules in line with a few of the wires that need to be routed to the seats fro the lariot bezel and from there it would output to the right wires the headed seat lines for seat heating?

The only issue I see possibly with this is that it's possible once you turn on either heated seat both of them would turn on no matter what. but honestly if that's the solution I'd rather have the ability to turn both of them on then neither.

it allows you to set a specific temperature, and will adjust the fan and temperature accordingly. Instead of having to adjust both yourself.

Not sure....Either way, I give up lol.

I just ordered a heated and cooled seat kit from Amazon. I'm going to pull the stock seat heat elements and install lariat leather, and the heated / cooled kit, with the separate dial switch. All problems are solved, and not waiting on disappearing rando's.....

Thanks Michael for the photos, I’m good now. Need to work out a wiring scheme and how to solder onto board where new switches are.

Do the cooled seats work if you put in a Lariat seat?

The seat heaters have to have 12 volts going to them somewhere under the seat ? Why not just connect another switch to them with 12V and at least the seat will get hot when needed.
I just ordered a bezel today. I have heated seats in mine but never used them here in Fla.

I should have been more clear: For my new / 2020, I got a "heated and cooled seat kit" from amazon, with (8) fans, (2) heated pads, distribution plate, and relays. This will be installed in the OEM XLT seats with OEM Lariat leather installed over top. It comes with a 5 position heating / cooling switch. Best things about it are: retained setting when command started, fans work at the same time as heat.

I only wish I had planned this better, as I could have transferred the 302a bezel and heated seat in my other truck. But I already did a heated seat kit in that one. I will now additionally be installing a cooled seat kit to compliment those heated seats in that truck (the 2019)

You could pull the heating elements, and sell with the bezel, and put in a cooling kit. Just a thought.
