Unfortunate that Fiasco17 is unavailable, and I hope that nothing serious has happen to him. Has anyone disassembled the FCIM circuit board from the XLT bezel?
I am wondering if the heated seat switch is soldered to the board or just a press switch, am thinking that maybe we can connect the seat switches on the lariat FCIM and run the 2 board in parallel so to speak. I have the wiring diagrams for both FCIM units, but no diagrams or pictures of a FCIM board itself.

Anyone can help, maybe there is another option to explorer

They are just little press buttons, I would think if you hook two boards up, the truck is going to give an error and not do anything.

I'm thinking about building a harness that powers both boards but only use the signals from old board for seats, and the the rest for new board. May not work, but want to explore as option.

The higher level FCIM uses the trucks networking to control the module that controls the heated seats, the lower level FCIM controls the heated seats directly.

Thanks for the photos , really appreciate it, now I need to find a truck with damaged bezel, so cost will be less. Don't want to experiment on mine in case I need to put back in truck. The little board that Fiasco17 was working on was a lot smaller than this combo. Maybe with his notes I can try to engineer a harness or small board to replace the XLT.

understand that, which is why I am thinking that a harness and some parts may fit the bill, just exploring as I was ready to shell out hard cash for the one Fiasco17 was working on and this is and effort that benefits many of us.

Default New finding’s

I found this bezel, and was curious if it might be a better option. It does have auto temp, but not heated seats. I wonder if they would work via climate screen added by forscan?

I still don't understand what auto climate does even after reading the manual. I usually just set the temp I want in my truck which has auto climate. Can anyone explain it to me?
