All wires can be connected at the two connectors going into the back of the bezel. 6 wires can be completely clipped on the one connector (power, control, and sense for both seats) and 4 need to be tee’d from the other (power, ground, and CAN). I will provide enough wire length so the module can be tucked behind the dash prior to pressing the bezel back onto the dash.
Very interesting thread. So once complete (with exception of items that would require dual zone dash components) the climate functions on screen would work? i.e. fan speed and temp adj? Wouldn't mind dual zone but im not about to completely rip out my dash and replace all vent components and sensors to do so. Just being able to control fan and temp VIA SYNC would be nice though.

If you’re referring to the bezel swap, then yes, the climate control and vent speed both can be controlled from the display. Without the new bezel, you can still control airspeed and the modes (AC, Max AC, window defrost, etc.) by just turning it on using Forscan. The air temperatures will be blank though.

If you’re referring to my module I’m working on, all it’s going to do right now is allow control of the heated seats from the new bezel. It sounds like a few other members like me wanted the auto climate functionality so we don’t have to mess with the dials all the time but still want to retain heated seats for the cold months.

auto is nice, and yes i want to be able to control both at SYNC without losing heated seat control function. one or the other sucks... we want both! but awesome work figuring this all out. your time and energy are appreciated!

I was just notified the PCBs shipped and they should be here when I get back home on Friday. I’m hoping to have my own proto made by the end of the weekend, at which that time I will know if they are ready for producing and will start taking the requests/orders so you all can hopefully have these in your mailbox by Christmas.
SOLD! Thank you sir!

Fiasco, I will definitely be a customer when you get to that point. Major props to you for going through the work to do this. Will help in any way I can with feedback etc.

@Fiasco17 Fantastic work! I've been thinking of Pioneering this swap using wiring out of the FCIM into a seat module to figure out how to power them, seems however you've figured most of it out! If everything works out count me in on wanting one!

I changed bezels about a year ago and am far too happy with the auto control to switch back. So getting the heated seats working again will be fantastic, definitely in for one when you get them ready also!

I'll take one too...Not sure when I'll put it in. I could use another part in the waiting to install queue.

Fiasco, fantastic work! I had pretty much given up on adding the auto bezel after the answers I was getting in this thread. Being in WI it was never going to be an option to be without the heated seat. Now it looks like I will be bezel shopping again!
