So no more bumper mounted RADAR unit? Hmm wonder if that will make it less flaky. I had it in a Fusion hybrid and if a car was in the left turn lane, sometimes my car would hit the brakes.

You still need the radar unit (CCM) in the front bumper. I what I have read so far that is. It works with the camera unit (IPMA). I’m going to install the harness, bracket and the CCM in the bumper first. To see if I can part of the adaptive cruise to work. Then install the IPMA when forscan has been updated to input the values for it.

Default CADS Module

Guys for the 2018 STOP AND GO. Module that is up front is no longer called a CCM module it is called a CADS module ( collision avoidance detection system module ) and this module now communicates on private com bus with newer type IPMA module. The newer style IPMA now handles all the algorithmic calculations. CADS module is much smaller and mounted with a different bracket in the same place as the CCM module was mounted on previous years. Also mind you that the 2018 bumpers change, the bracket has a different mounting location for the bolts.

You’re correct, Ford did change what they call the unit in front bumper. I still the CADS and the new bracket go in the same location on the driver’s side of the bumper.

Hello all, I have a 2018 XLT w/ 302a and today I ordered the 8-in screen instrument cluster. Build Date of Dec 2017, sat on lot for about 6 months before I bought it. I need pretty much everything else, including the HUD harness (I looked, there is not one there). Anyone already do something similar and have a parts list, or do you think I'm crazy for trying to add ACC?

The 8-in Cluster arrives tomorrow. Hoping someone has a parts list that will at least get me most of the way there? Anyone?

Just got done swapping out the harness on the front bumper. I also added raptor lights in the grill at the same time. So I removed only the grill. And the harness was right there. I think if I was only done the harness. I could of had it done in under two hours.

Hey SVO, you ever finish this? And are you sure about the CCM part number? I'm coming up with a FL3Z-9E731-D as still being the part needed. Check out https://www.getoemparts.com/ Also, what was the difference in the wire harness? I too have a 2018 Lariat with 502A.

When I went to the dealership. To get the different harness for I checked with them. They told me I had the right one on ordered. The only you are looking at doesn’t have pre-crash. As for the harness, I had to get the one that would work with LED fog lights.
