Y'all are just getting yourselves all worked up. Just like android updates, carriers often put the latest versions on the new hardware but wait months to release ota to existing phones and then it's in stages where some get it at a time while many don't. Maybe they are working it the same way. That's if it will even be an ota update. Might need to take your truck in

This. OTA updates are generally finicky. Done wrong they will brick the receiving device. Ford is just making sure they have it rock solid to limit the risk.

I like Sync 3 in my 2016. Seems to works great so far with zero issues. I will enjoy the Apple and Android stuff when it comes out. I think what a lot of people forget is that at the end of the day its still technology and no new gadget is ever 100% perfect in every way.

I understand why this takes a while to try and perfect things and have a perfect launch. Probably not going to happen. I am in the technology field and deal with things like this on a daily basis it seems.

My biggest problem with all of this is that we have seen the v2 on a new truck already and the fact that Ford is giving more specifics on when it will be released.

I know I am not the first to mention this but it is frustrating. If they say the end of summer then it appears that they have until September 22nd

LOL, if it comes down between driving a manufacturer's vehicle who makes good on their promises and one who does not, I'll gladly live without the one who doesn't. LOL
