Did you just not get your truck last week?

What sucks even more than not getting the Sync 2.0 and someone the next day picking up a vehicle that has it, is the fact that your maps would still be two years old and the next guy gets more current maps that you will probably have to pay $150 for if Ford ever starts providing updates. Sync 2.0 will come for free, but map updates, we are guessing, will cost.

Or, is Ford possibly issuing the ver 15 maps for free update on 2016s? Probably not, but who knows.

Either way, still a s*** product. We can argue all day on this but that's my opinion and I am sure you have yours
Maybe you should spend some time with AcuraLink (I came from a '16MDX) or BMW iDrive and then we'll talk about infotainment systems that are crap. Ford's Sync system has always been lightyears ahead of those

It was delivered on 15 July. I couldn't pick it up until 23 July because I was on vacation. It was built on 29 June. I've checked and I'm on V1.0.

There's 15235 trucks between the two. It would be interesting to know the plant and build date for the Sync3 v2 truck compared to yours.

I'm scheduled to pickup my truck August 28. Hopefully I get the updated version.

Also on mine there was an android auto button but I haven't got the chance to play with it yet as I don't have my truck. I got this picture when I was looking at my truck on the lot.

What was your build date and at what plant?

Having used both I can tell you that Sync 3 is substantially better than Sync 2 was. The main difference is the speed and responsiveness. There are a couple areas where the interface took a step backward, but overall its a better product than Sync 2 was.

I forced mine to check for update by doing a master reset. Still on 1.0.
