Grab yourself some 18 gauge wire, some wire strippers/cutters and some electrical tape along with some small staples (don't know what you'd call them) for affixing the wire to wood/drywall etc.

Then just tie your new 18 gauge wire into the existing antenna on the garage door opener to extend it and fasten to in whatever way makes sense. Just make sure it's not hanging down in the path of the garage door as that can go bad in so many ways if it gets caught on it. If you already have wire strippers/cutters, it might be about a $10 investment if you have to buy the wire, tape and staples.

Not my idea, I read about someone else doing it.

Text received from my dealer today at 2:55 regarding Email they received from a Mike Walton in Marketing and Sales Operations at Ford in Dearborn. Stated my truck had been held at the plant due to a tailgate recall. Problem has been solved and Ford has "prioritized" the shipping. I am a member of the 10/26 Club.

It's going to get quiet around here once the 10-26 club all get their trucks!

Glad to here they are rolling in, enjoy your trucks! I will be hanging around prolly for a couple of months waiting for mine, hoping I don't end up in one of those type clubs...

Well that was fast! I placed my order on Tuesday afternoon with my dealer. Lariat/502a/V8/20 inch wheels. Salesman sent me an email today(Friday) with a VIN # and said "it should be built a few days before Christmas". I was not even going to bug him until late next week for any kind of info/updates. Is it "normal" to get a VIN this quick?
