2016 Tracking Thread
I know that's "your truck", but have you tried to find a replacement from dealer stock? I gave up on my order (built 11/2) and finally found the exact truck I want (with a few extras that I'll suck it up and pay for). I couldn't justify the wait without knowing the problems they're facing as well as the fact that my truck is sitting in the elements in Michigan for 1 month and counting.

...the Eagle has landed! Just got the call from the GM at the dealer. Heading in tomorrow morning to trade in and pick up. Holding off for a day in hopes we'll get something better than the $500 rebate that's on them now. If not, well, what's one more night waiting after waiting this long...
So my truck is supposed to be in today and just got a call from my salesman to tell me that it should be today or tomorrow (shocker). But he really wanted me to come in and do all the paperwork to buy the truck so I don't miss out on the Friends and Family deal. I told him again, that I get that deal anyway through my employer who has a corporate discount setup with Ford. I ordered my truck that way before the sale started anyway. I told him that I wanted to see the rebates when they come out to tack on to the X Plan price, plus the $1500 in rebates that are available at the time I ordered. He then goes on to tell me that I can't combine any new rebates to the X Plan rebates because "X Plan rebates are the rebates. You can't add anything to them." So then I asked him how can I use the $1500 rebates with X Plan but none of the new ones that are coming. Of course, couldn't answer that. Just kept trying to get me to come down and sign the paperwork today which conveniently is the last day of the month. I then just told him that I am not buying a truck at this point without seeing it first. Thought I would share. Watch out for these guys. They will say anything. I wish another dealer would get the same truck in and I would buy it. I was pretty offended by his call.
And yes the sale ends today.....
I really hate it when they act like we are stupid. If the sales rep said "it's the end of the month and my dealership hasn't met.....", I would actually give it some thought. Is honesty really that hard??? I always know 10 times what the sales rep knows so most trips to the dealership are pretty embarrassing for the sales rep. I don't want to embarrass him/her, but it usually turns out that way.

Mine is supposedly in Kansas City getting taken off rail and put on a truck. So it's halfway to Tulsa. Sales rep said ETA 12/9. I'm still irritated though (as if you couldn't tell). Restaurants will give you your meal for free just to keep your business and their profit margin is very low. $400,000 doesn't get me a 60 second phone call from Ford. It's really sad.
