What else did you get?

Was that it? Those are terminals for a connector (on most kits they're not used) a wiring harness is what you use to power them.

Did you buy a generic cheap kit or a kit for your specific vehicle?

I think you need a harness.

You don't want to make your own harness, just order one from the retrofit source.

If I may make a recommendation, I would just purchase everything from the retrofit source. You will get everything you need including full color instructions on how to do it.

With this kind of thing you pay for what you get.

I honestly think all aftermarket HID kits are garbage, after all the trouble Im having and all the reviews about the cheap chinese garbage on the market, I honestly believe anybody that truly wants HID's should just buy a new truck that has OEM HID's already! Or if your lucky enough to have the 09-13 F-150 there is a sweet relay harness you can buy that works on OEM Ford HID's headlights you just have to buy everything seperate at the dealer and its quite expensive but is quality stuff.

Or buy OEM quality components?

Denso oem ballasts (better than most OEM)

SVS or CBI bulbs (4200/5000k OEM standard)

My setup is better than even ford OEM headlights. Output, cutoff, components, quality, reliability... All have proven to surpass OEM offerings.
