Check out Headlight Junkies on facebook, there are a bunch of guys who build them there. Probably the best would be Caesar who runs Lightwerkz.

Bump for the new year!
Was thinking about using these housings.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/291640035403?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rmvSB=true

Add a kit from TRS to complete.
Would this be an acceptable projector housing to install a TRS kit into or would I have to open them up and install a different projector?

Thanks

Yep, that'll work. Make sure you add the butyl to get a good seal when you're all finished.

Totally new here, totally new F150 owner. I have a 2007 King Ranch Crew Cab. Drove it home last night, could hardly tell if there were headlights on. Definitely need an upgrade. Here's my current thoughts, you guys please tell me why I'm being dumb and what I should do differently.

I think I want:
-Black housing
-Clear lens
-No LED BS from China
Looking at this: eBay Housing

-Xenon kit, 50w vs 35w, looking at this: TRS

How dumb is this noob? Or will this be a decent solution? Thanks

No... no... no... that is just throwing an hid kit into a reflector based headlight. Lots of light scatter and glare, which will blind oncoming traffic. Those housings are fine, but you would want to do a full projector retrofit into these.

The H1 kit would probably be easiest install, but the D2S would give you better bulb choices.

See I knew I was missing something. Thats why I posted first. So I assume there are people on the board who are very skilled at doing these retrofits and do it for $$. Who is the "expert craftsman" on this board or on the web that I can just pay to do it right?

Honestly the hardest part is getting the lights apart... but if youre not up to challenge, I know "lightwerkz" and "the retroshop" and "raptorretrofit" are good options.

I'm not sure who is on this forum that still does them. Check out Headlight Junkies on facebook, there are a lot of qualified builders over there. Though to be honest, it's faster and cheaper to do it yourself.

My first set was a pair of Mini H1s and 35w ballasts. The whole thing took a weekend, including waiting for paint to dry. It could be done in a day if you left it all chrome.

If you're mechanically minded and want to try let me know. I just finished up my third set of retros, this time on my wifes jeep.

Hey everybody, i have a '16 f150, and have HID fog lights, any good spots to mount the ballasts where they won't get wet?
