Either that or look for a wrecked 1992+ model and do it up that way. They have ALOT of aftermarket headlight options.
There's not a single aftermarket set of headlights for '87-'91. I'm eventually going to pull a junkyard pair, and then heat 'em up, separate the lens, and put a clear one in it's play, not one that diffracts all the light. Best think I can figure

I just installed mine I got from http://www.retro-solutions.com. Took about an hour and half cause I wanted to be super clean install and they look amazing tons of light, super easy to install and the price was right. Shipping was super fast and I highly recommend them. I got the 55w 10k lights and man did I say they are very white and bright.

Hey, I have a question. I had a 2011 Ford Edge that I bought and I had also bought an HID kit for it. Usually I buy a $50 kit from DDM but instead I decided to do it right and buy this kit with a timing relay or something to do with the DRL's anyway, it was from...retro..something anyway it doesnt matter. Question is:
Can I use this kit (different bulbs obv) for the 2011 F150? I don't want a $100 hid kit to be useless. If I can use it, do I still have to hook the one into the drivers side or since the battery is on the passenger side can I just plug it into the passenger bulb and route the other bulb to the drivers side since anyone who knows HID's you only plug in one.
Thanks

Whats wrong with the housings on our models? for 88-91 that is. If your saying that the originals fog out really bad I've got a brand new set on my truck. So do the HIDs not work right on ours? or they just wouldn't work right through the original fogged crap? I'm looking to get a pair. Where would be the best place to buy them? BTW I have an 88.

The main thing wrong with them is the fact that they do fog up badly but the overall reflector design is bad. That said, I guess it was common place designing to have a lens with reflection grids in it. The bowl inside is essentially just a curved surface.

HIDs will work in there but you wont get the good output as if you had a clear lens with an actual reflector inside.

One thing people don't remember is that the reflector on the inside breaks down and loses its coating. If the lights are really old, getting the fog off the outside will only do so much.
