What engine and year are you looking to tune? Let me know that and I can tell you the power gains to expect with a SCT tune

Depends on the tune written. Most tunes will give you a bit better gas mpg if you dont drive the truck hard. If you have a heavy foot, wont see any gas mpg gains. Primary purpose of a tuner though is increased power, throttle lag being eliminated and much smoother transmission tuning. Power increases will depend on which octane tune and vehicle/engine combo

No. Gas mpg is driven almost entirely by HOW you drive, what engine you have, how well the vehicle is maintained and size of your tires/rotational mass ect ect.

if you want to be able to monitor lots of things on your truck get the Edge if you just need a tuner that you plug in and then throw in your glove box with literally hundreds of custom tuners go with the SCT.

I went with the Edge for the gauges. I don't like the idea of my tuner unit being completely useless after installing the tune.

That would make sense... if not for the 2 SCT models that do the same thing (livewire which is wired and the iTSX which wirelessly connects to your phone or tablet via bluetooth) or do they not have those for the 04-08 models???
