A quick stop into the wrecking yard was fruitful! These damn things are 60 dollars new. I pulled this out of an Econoline... paid 8 dollars.

We have "possible AM snow" on Friday. It's supposed to be my Friday off... (of course it is... ). My eyes are itching like a ***** right now... pollen must be high today.

EDIT: It only says tree pollen is high right now. The Cottonwoods kill me - but I don't see any cotton floating around yet.

As for the crate, Duncan was in one anytime I left the house for almost the first 3 years. If I was going to be gone longer than 4 hours, I would have somebody look in on him, let him out to run, etc. He is absolutely none the worse for it. I just made sure that those days he was crated for any period of time he got plenty of vigorous exercise. The crate was never ever a punishment place. I still have one in the living room, and occasionally he will just go lie in it. When he does, he is off limits to be bothered. I think he knows that. Long story short, used correctly, crates are not an evil thing.
Case you missed it, just watching him for 10 days. Purebred so he's a handful. Got away from me once thus far. Couldn't get him to come, I even had cake. Got close 3 times but he would take off just before I could grab him. This was through the neighborhood.

Went back to the house, got geared up for the hunt. To my surprise, he was back hooked up to a dog run when I got back. Neighbor girl has experience with this one apparently. Guess I can throw this net away, it's falling apart anyway.

You can def tell when they're fed right, makes a huge difference.

He hasn't been crated much and he howls when in there. More so at first. Spending more time with him. Things are actually smoothing out a bit. That bark though, couldn't get him to stop at first. Finally making headway there, he always thinks I'm playing .., Very glad it's only 10. Mixed breed is always better imo. Shep or lab mix would be my preference.

Crap, it's only day 4. Was going to drop my old battery off at the 150, trucks been sitting for almost a year, w/batt connected. They never changed the oil. A sad end there, I have the old odyssey on the charger. Pretty sure it's toast now at 3.67 volts. we'll see. Prob shouldn't give them the motorcraft, signs of leakage at the pos post. Not bad but still....

Controller has arrived, Fan will be here Monday! Its a perfect time to work on that as i do have a coolant leak somewhere, its external, so hoping with the fan removed i can see if its leaking up front or from the heater core hose.
