I looked into that over the summer, AK. The difference appears to be that the style-side tailgate has a pre-drilled factory hole that's used for mounting, which ours lacks. The "protrusion" at the bottom is also shaped differently, but appears to be the same height. Mandingo on here retrofitted one to his, but said it was a PITA because it involved welding, though I'm not sure it would have to. It looks to me like one could simply drill the needed hole and go to town.
HERE is a link to the install instructions.

It looks like those use a twist-lock style connector(?). If so, is there such a thing as swapping to a bulb holder that locks in that way?

That's what they sent. Bought the whole assembly. That's what they think is good LOL bought from two companies on eBay, one on amazon and now CARid. All had different brands But all showed up the same and distributed by DNAmotoring so I'm guessing they buy the Chinese crap, give it new names and try to sell thru multiple companies.

The housing itself has a cover with gasket. So both lights are in a "sealed" area. The OEM doesn't use anything there either. The bulb is laid in the hole, and a metal spring is snapped in to hold it down. Then the wires plug into the H7 prongs. Here's a pic where you can see where the cover goes on.

Edit* I assume they think the tiny ridges on the plug will lock under the screws but no... no they don't. And you can't rotate it farther either because the plastic stops it from twisting more. And the screws are already bottomed out

I've thought of a few ways to jerry rig it but I'm annoyed at the thought of that after spending $240 and confirmation I was getting the correct connectors.

I'm probably still going to return these... then if the wife complains about light output, start looking again and if I can't find the OEM connectors in the housings I'll re order these (cheaper from other sites) and jerry rig em.

Side note... anyone know if I can just order new lenses? I guess that's an option, put new lenses on my OEM housings. Everything is good just spider cracked lenses... hmmm wonder if that's an option

The sockets on tractor are like those and loose like , it was blowing bulbs to often. Had to use insulation tape to tighten it up, - Tape is sticky on one side/foam on the other. Was a PITA , had to be cut perfect but has worked for couple years now.

I'd return them as well, doesn't sound like you have another GOOD option though, not the one you were after anyway. The $400 option I'd try to avoid if I could...it's just plastic lol.

Not sure about the lenses.

Think I know what your saying, mine were like that, they were a little tighter if you switched. Didin't look possible at first, but it was doable. Tighter, but it wasn't enough in this case.

Yeah.... pretty cool for sure.

2100, that sucks on those lights. It is so annoying! Do you have a Certifit dealer close by? Maybe try there if so. There's a guy I started buying stuff from on Ebay years ago, and his UN is AutoandArt.... he got me some stuff back in the day I couldn't find anywhere. I got my Lightning headlights through him too - but he's gotten pretty big since I started buying from him (might be a "them" now instead of "him", LOL). Eagle Eyes is a brand I'd recommend if you can find 'em.
