Good morning thinkers!- Monday,Monday... cant trust that day...
You fellers were talking about dumb questions- i think that our 10 gens are becoming “entry level” trucks and kids without any mechanical, social or reasoning skills are buying/ having them bought for them, and now they want to look “cool”- i think that is why there is a glut of tire-wheel/ lightbar/ loud exhaust questions, and why they are basically clueless when it needs repair. Although you would think that the younger bunch would be better able to find the answers on line....
Anyway, i hope you guys have a great week- be careful at your salt mine!- ill catch up later!!
Well... the take down of the Cisco 48 port POE switch this morning seems to be OK. I replaced all 5 fans in it, even though only 1 was dead. It's stacked, so I didn't want to pull all 48 RJ45 connectors out and then get them back in wrong, LOL... So I operated with it still plugged in, and in the rack - just minus 110V. Hope it all goes well from here out.
Hope you all have a great week! I'm in for a 4 day'er this week - I'm going camping with my friend with the broken truck.
In talking to him last night, he said that the truck shut itself down. I was under the impression that he had shut it down when the message came on. He says the starter just clicks when he bumps it. I'm guessing it's seized.
Huh, that's strange, one of my fans froze up as well. The larger case fan....bearing seized up tite. I have a spare in it now but man is that thing loud! Can't have that, but it came in handy I guess lol. Lol, for a temporary fan it sure has some bling, blue LED's now light up the case.
Did you figure out how your going to get the truck home ?

Honestly I'm not too sure lol. Usually If I see there name it's on an automotive article. I've read multiple new bronco articles and noticed jalopnik in the url. Haven't ever actually cruised their website lol
I'd say the automotive bleacher report would be a good comparison

These are 40 mm fans. Just little guys. Can't be too small because it is a 1U form factor. But, there are 5 of them. 2 of them are segregated to blow on the power supply, and the other 3 on the circuitry. It was quite a trick to replace all of those without removing it from the rack - but it worked. Here's the old boys.... none of them are seized, just one of them quit working.
As far as the truck is concerned, I'm not too sure what we are going to do yet. I'm going to talk to him later tonight.
Alright guys need opinions... needing to replace an ignition coil on my sisters 05 escape v6. Auto zone is $80/cop for Duralast and amazon only is selling stuff that's $12/cop. Are the escapes as picky as our trucks? Or what's a decent brand? She's working off a high school grocery cashier budget.
We got them at NAPA for my Brother's, and they worked fine. They were made by Delphi for 50 a piece. If you order/reserve them online, NAPA gives you 10% off here in UT. Not sure if every NAPA does that?
