Good morning thinkers!- hope all is well and good with you fellers-
Just another damp, cold, soggy day in the valley- I am soooo ready for spring time!
And this going to work in the dark, and coming home in the dark sucks too, btw!
( Ok,ok, ill quit...)
Have a safe day at your salt mine!- ttyl
Bear - 9° here this AM so yeah, Springtime is on my mind as well.
White - I'll check out thar video at lunch. Thanks.
Yahoo! Mail - "Eat my shorts," as Bart Simpson would say. I'm not paying you $35 a year so I can forward my Yahoo! emails to my Gmail account, and I don't want to use two apps/websites. Time to change some subscriptions and bail!
Oh, and I discovered that my tank-top heater will get the garage to 81° if it's accidentally left running overnight (and burn somewhere between 15 and 20 lbs of propane doing it), even when the temp drops to 6° outside. (Kind of impressive, actually.)
Have a good one, everybody!

Oooooooh Purdy. I had a lifted '78 some years ago so this is pure truck ****!
I also remember the "this is not your father's Oldsmobile" ad campaign AK, maybe I'm old to.
That ad campaign was in the late eighties. That doesn't make us old! (Well it doesn't make us *that* old.)
What a CF it was, though. Reinvent your brand, and try to attract younger customers, fine, but alienating the entire demographic that bought your cars previously was a not-so-smart idea. I found this little tidbit:
"In 1986 (two years before the ads), they sold 1,050,832 vehicles. By 1990, sales were down to 489,492."
Ads like this probably didn't help:

That's screen-door-in-a-submarine stuff right there.

That is like one of those old 70's movies that are so bad but you can't stop watching cause you want to see how bad it gets. Like The Forth Dimension or Logan's Run.
Good morning thinkers!- Back in the day ( thats another phrase that gives our age away!)
Dad had a sweet old ‘77- maroon with the red, orange striping that surrounded the body line.
It had a 351M- but it was so clean, and ran
soooo well!- he always regretted selling it.
Hope you fellers have a great day- keep your whistle wet and your powder dry!
Noobie - That add took me to a retro-review of the Trofeo, which led me to other MotorWeek retro reviews, which led me to getting a later-than-desired start this morning. Thanks a lot!
As sweet as it is, I couldn't figure out what I didn't like about that "1979 Raptor," then it hit me...It would look a lot better with different wheels. ..
