I don't know about where you guys are, but the Ranger to S10 ratio here is like 100 to 1. The S10 is scarce.
Here in Indiana its probably a little more 60-70 to 1 HOWEVER the s10s on the road all look like they are owned by meth heads and/or junkyards lol. I rarely see a run down tired ranger. If they are on the road here they are in decent shape for the most part.

Yeah... meth heads, LOL. Same here.

I kicked the tar out of my Ranger, and it held right in. I miss that little runt.

Changed the trans fluid in the old girl tonight. While I was at it, I drilled a 1/2 hole in the pan..... and added a drain plug. Doesn't look too awful inside. Nothing abnormal in the pan.

Looks nice an clean!
I installed a drain plug in the pan on my '99, and had to pull it back off twice before I got it to stop leaking.

So far, so good. I only drove it enough to warm it up and check the fluid...... realized 6 quarts was too much. So, I either get to use the new plug, or siphon some out of the dipstick tube, LOL. I am above the top cross hatch by about 3/4". Wish I knew about how much that is.

Although... that o-ring isn't going to last long. I can tell that right now. I need to come up with something different next time. The more I think about the overfilling, the more I think I will just siphon it out of the dipstick tube. I just need to go get some longer vinyl tube for my pump.

Eh, either way will work, but with the siphon you don't get to roll around on the ground!

I ended up sealing mine from the inside with JB Weld, through some Ultra Gray RTV would probably worked just as well.

A handful of pics of the Highboy. Driver side is done and door is back on a and shuts like a dream. Floor board, front and rear lower corners, inner and outer rockers, vent box, side of cab (think kick panel), and a section of cab mount all cut out replaced and primered.... ALL RUST FREE

Explored the passenger side and sadly it is just as bad on the front section as the driver side. Rear is pretty good just a small patch.
