It's a dedicated gauge and sensor. One-wire hookup. THIS is the sensor, and take a look HERE for pics of the install.
Does the head unit have Android Auto? If so, you might be able to run Torque Pro , and get virtual gauges on the HU screen.
EDIT: I didn't realize it requires a rooted phone. HERE is an article on it if you're interested (or for anyone else who may be).

JP I went and drove it this weekend. It's like a new damn truck. Slight whine in the PS, but so so common in the earlier trucks. I just couldn't bring myself to buy it because of the standard trans. All that years luxury, lost to a floor shifter.
I like lil Red, so I don't need another truck. In fact I need to get rid of one of the vehicles. I guess I'll just keep Red and not worry about another pretty face. lol

We may end up with another 10 gen. in the family... buddy of mine at work is selling his 99- extended cab- my Dad is thinking about buying it for my nephew..

I have 6 in the yard, counting my sons Subaru. I have the 2 98 F150's, my Mustang, Fusion, and a motorhome (Chevy, I know but the wife wanted it), and a boat. I had to take the boat up to my buddies to store it. The motorhome is down in the holding yard. I'm car poor for parking.
