Brew Talking about wind. We've had it for 11 straight days, including the hurricane winds from last week. I don't remember wind this long. Very strange year for weather so far. I can only hope the summer, if we get one, is nicer than last years. Last year we had a lot of cloudy days, but not that cold of temperatures.

AK,
Are you still looking for the cowl trim for Red? Found a 97 XL F150 donor that I plan to get the tailgate and other items from before 16 June. Build date 06/96. The cowl pieces looked good a quick glance, but could fall apart like the one found last year.
Found it at a recovery yard while looking at a 02 2wd Expy project for one of the children. The 97 has a code H9 diff which I need but it has 12 mm studs.
Saw Drill Rig's 10 Gen in the local CL a few weeks back and called him to post about his Raptor.

Bad axle shaft pilot bearing/replacement bearing. Pressed in no prob. Use a Big **** Columbian Vice for a press, dang thing opens 18" lol. Yea, it's huge lol.

Another shot, bearing loaded up for a blind hole press, - little bearing tool concoction worked great!

So far, surrounded though , huge pines and willows. Finally have a pic of the travel trailer now...well sort of lol. I gonna snap a few , just in case ...insurance. Actually, if that other big willow goes, it'll take the trailer. Wouldn't break my heart a bit lol. Yea, better take a few more.

So this could be just a taste of what's to come ? The weathers perfect, 68* 10% humidity...like it!

Pulled the cover, it's going right back on. Looks spanken new, no damage, no sludge. Need to locate my good IR discs! They're here somewhere. Going to hunt them down, re score matting surfaces, throw the cover back on, put her back together. So the right axle housing was toast, pilot bearing smashed, bent the axle. Glad I caught the axle being bent or it would of been a do over. Trans next. Sending the Amsoil in for analysis again, cheaper than flushing if it doesn't need it. It won't need it. Changing the dip stick out though, both crank and trans stick tubes are getting nasty again. The crank tubes suck , they develop a rust hole right where they fasten at the manifold...can't see the hole unless you pull the wheel liner. This will be the 98's 3rd tube for the crank, 2nd for the trans. The kid better make time to help with this, she thinks I'm kidding about renigging..HA!

Brew, you just went unlucky to lucky to lucky again and it all sounds good. Maybe you should go get a scratch off or something today!

J, that sucks about the plug blow, but what's nutty is I was looking at the kits to retap the plug holes this morning. Haven't needed it myself, but wanted to read up on it a bit in case it happened to me and I ever needed it.
